Terrible powder. It dries out the skin and emphasizes wrinkles that aren't even there. Definitely not on par with The Face Shop products.
I really liked the powder. It has a pleasant scent and applies smoothly on the face, of course it has a white color, but that's not a problem. The most important thing is that it mattifies the skin and prevents oily shine.
I am simply disappointed... I waited for a long time and was very excited when it finally came out! However, in reality, it does not do anything that the manufacturer claims. I tried to tame it, but in vain. There is no matte effect throughout the day whatsoever! I have oily skin without acne or pimples, but this shine that appears after a couple of hours is killing me. It doesn't blur or mattify anything. I only give it a 1 for the cute packaging.
The powder is almost finished, and my opinion about it has completely changed. Firstly, it matches my skin tone perfectly because I am very fair, and any yellowish shade would be visible on me like a mask. Since the powder is colorless, this problem doesn't exist at all. Secondly, it really blurs and conceals pores. I apply the powder in daylight, and if I compare the "with powder/without powder" sides, the difference is amazing. Thirdly, it reduces oily shine and leaves a velvety matte finish on the skin. Yes, it doesn't last long, maybe 3-4 hours (I have combination skin), but this effect is fantastic. Most likely, I will buy it again because I haven't had anything better.
I am disappointed with this product. It does not control the oily shine for more than 3 hours on oily skin, just like any other powder. It initially holds up when applied on foundation, but if applied after some time, even after using blotting papers, it clogs pores and accentuates dry patches that were not even noticeable! It's a pity, as I was expecting much more.
I have oily, problematic skin, and these types of powders (natural and colorless) are the only ones my dermatologist allows me to use, so my review will be about this powder on clean skin.
The powder in the box is white, but it becomes transparent on the skin. Initially, it will lighten your complexion and accentuate any flakiness (if there is any), but after about 20 minutes, your skin color returns to normal and the flakiness is no longer noticeable. The powder does indeed mattify the skin and does not dry it out. However, it is a bit tricky to apply, requiring some practice. Imagine trying to powder a countertop with a sponge. The powder will move along with the sponge on the countertop. It's the same on the face with clean skin. In the end, it does settle on the face. However, it is more convenient to apply with a brush, but I needed a portable option with a sponge. So, I will get used to it. It does not cover any problem areas. If you have acne on your face, it will only slightly dull it, no more. However, it does provide a matte finish, tightens pores, and has antibacterial properties. My skin starts to get oily after about 3 hours, but everyone's experience may vary depending on their skin.
I believe that when used with a suitable foundation, this powder will truly control sebum and provide long-lasting matte finish at the final stage of makeup. Although I'm not sure about how it "interacts" with foundations. I think it would work best with patting. On my skin, it doesn't stay on for a very long time without any additional products, but still better than without it. In my opinion, it's an ideal option for a natural-looking makeup and for the summer.
I really liked this powder and I am satisfied with my purchase.
I have mixed feelings about this powder... What surprises me the most is when it smudges all over my face like white dust. I apply it with patting motions and the sponge that came with it. If I use a brush, it feels like the powder doesn't even touch my face. I read reviews saying that it keeps oily shine at bay throughout the day - it doesn't for me. My skin still gets oily after 3 hours, with or without the powder.
The packaging and appearance are a definite plus, no complaints there, it looks really nice. But we don't buy a product just for the packaging, right?
Maybe I'm doing something wrong?... I really wanted to get along with this powder, but unfortunately, I'm more disappointed.
