The bristles are definitely not soft! How can medium-bristle toothbrushes be considered soft? It doesn't make sense. They are very harsh on the gums, even for me. I can't imagine how to use this on a child’s teeth. As for the single tuft, that's another issue altogether. The bristles aren't just unrounded; they seem to stick out in different directions, making them very rough on the gums as well.
The description states "soft bristles of medium firmness," but to me, they feel like regular adult medium firmness. For kids aged 3-4, this might be a bit too harsh. So, when choosing, keep in mind that the bristles are medium, not soft like those typically found in toothbrushes for 3-year-olds. However, this might be exactly what someone is looking for.
