I don't know where all the praise reviews came from, because I didn't notice any of those things when using it. The tip gets very hot, making it impossible to hold in your hand, just like a regular straightener. It does create curls, but I found it more convenient to use a regular straightener. The curved shape doesn't provide any advantages, no beautiful or shiny curls. If you know how to curl, you can achieve the same results with a regular straightener. The design is stylish, and it has all the different settings, but again, it's nothing surprising nowadays. In the end, I prefer using a regular straightener.
