Series 3: Incense - a luxurious collection of five fragrances, united by the notes of mysterious frankincense. It was created by perfumers of the Japanese fashion house Comme des Garçons in 2002.
The fragrance Ouarzazate was developed by British perfume master Mark Buxton. He was inspired by Moroccan culture, an integral part of which is frankincense. In the Middle Ages, the city of Ouarzazate in the south of Morocco was a major passageway for traders from Africa to Europe and the countries of the Arabian Peninsula. More than 3000 tons of frankincense were transported through Ouarzazate annually. Today, the use of frankincense in Morocco is more than a religious ritual; it's an integral part of the modern everyday life of every person.
The foundation of the Ouarzazate composition is the mysterious notes of smoky frankincense, highlighted by the invigorating herbal chords of clary sage and green tea extract, combined with a sharp peppery mix. The composition is completed with soft woody chords with a light vanilla shade.
The gentle, yet breathtaking, Ouarzazate perfume will undoubtedly appeal to both men and women who appreciate truly luxurious and memorable fragrances.
"Unrivaled in durability."
