How to use: use as intended.
These sponges are okay, but... from what I understand, the working surface refers to the side edges, not the entire top and bottom area. If the working surfaces are the side edges, then it is a good product - soft, easy, and pleasant to apply foundation. However, if the working surface includes the top and bottom areas, then it's rubbish. There's a slightly slippery glossy coating that isn't flexible. In short, I don't recommend using it that way.
