Salicylic Acid Peeling Serum 4% - Cos De Baha Salicylic Acid 4% Serum
This product is not effective. The black spots and comedones remain unchanged. I have been using it regularly, but it does not have any wow effect, not even a minimal effect that is difficult to notice. I used it in combination with niacinamide and simultaneously cleansed with an enzymatic powder. Even with all these products combined, they did not help deeply clean the pores and normalize the functioning of the glands on my face. Perhaps, these are subjective reactions and simply the products did not suit my skin.
Today I discovered a new evening skincare routine for my face. I applied the Cos De Baha Salicylic Acid 4% Serum on damp skin and then sealed it with the Khadi Swati Ayurvedic Herbal Anti-Acne & Pimple Cream. The result of this combination was a noticeable oily shine on my skin and a feeling of oiliness on my face. After a couple of hours, my skin started to feel slightly tight, despite the remaining oily shine.
But in the morning, I was simply amazed by my reflection in the mirror: comedones and small inflammations had disappeared overnight, and even my freckles had lightened a bit. This is an incredible effect that no other skincare product has given me before! Wow!
Therefore, I definitely recommend using this serum for problematic skin, but it should be done carefully and correctly due to the high concentration of salicylic acid. My skin has already become accustomed to strong acids, so this skincare routine has become the perfect solution for my acne. However, for beginners in acid-based skincare, I would recommend starting with lower acid concentrations, such as the 2% salicylic acid serum from Cos de Baha, and then transitioning to this 4% salicylic acid serum from Cos after the skin has acclimated.
Also, it is important to remember that all serums should only be applied to damp skin (for this purpose, you can use a light liquid toner, regular water, or even a homemade herbal infusion) and then sealed with a cream. Applying the serum in any other way will only be a waste, as it will not penetrate deep into the skin and will simply evaporate, leaving behind only an oily residue.
I wish everyone health and beauty! Good luck, and use only high-quality cosmetics. Your skin deserves it!
P.S. A small note for those who decide to use herbal infusions for skincare (instead of toner, for example). An infusion of wormwood and calendula (taken in equal parts) is excellent for treating acne and whitening the skin, but it is more suitable for oily skin, as it has a strong drying effect. I would not recommend combining it with drying acid serums to avoid over-drying and irritating the skin. However, if you still want to try this combination on oily skin, you need to be extremely cautious and use a rich, nourishing cream as the final step. In general, there is a lot of room for creativity and experimentation here.
