The mattifying effect is non-existent.
I love this spray, I bought it to use occasionally instead of toner when I want to quickly refresh my face, and it's super convenient to take with me. I really liked that I can use it throughout the day, even over makeup. I actually noticed that my problematic skin started to shine less and breakouts reduced. I also have the cleansing gel, toner, and mattifying cream from this line. I'm extremely satisfied and highly recommend it.
When I used the spray the next day, my face immediately broke out in painful red spots in the areas where I applied it. Previously, when I used it on the first day, I didn't have this reaction, but I also didn't notice any soothing effect as promised in the description, it just tingled a little.
Before using the spray, I used the daytime cream from the same manufacturer (which also caused a slight reaction with watery eyes and eye discomfort).
I didn't change anything in my skincare routine from the previous day, and I only tested the spray on the inside of my wrist when it arrived.
It is understandable that each person's skin is unique, but possible side effects should be mentioned on the packaging and descriptions on websites. It's not very pleasant to find out about them through practical experience.
This is an excellent spray, and I am very pleased with my choice of cosmetics from Babe for combination and oily skin. The spray is the icing on the cake for me. I use it several times a day, both before and after applying makeup, and I really like it!
I was not impressed with this product. I apply it after using the toner and cream from the same line, but it has no effect whatsoever. Whether I use it or not, there is no difference. I also tried applying it over makeup, and that is definitely not recommended because it had the opposite effect.
