Women with curly hair who follow the well-known beauty rule often strive to smooth out their playful curls. To achieve this, they employ all possible "tools of the trade"—mousses, hot irons, stylers, and setting sprays. Such methods can take a toll, negatively affecting the health of the hair.
Reviving the luxurious shine and safely smoothing the hair is made possible by the innovative Contempora Velvet Mask from the professional Italian brand Barex Italiana. Its formula is enriched with valuable argan oil, which penetrates deep into the hair layers to reconstruct damaged areas of the structure. Meanwhile, sea buckthorn oil offers antioxidant, anti-aging, and moisturizing benefits, helping to regulate the moisture balance within the cells. The mask effectively softens coarse, unruly curls, smooths them, seals the cuticles, and leaves the hair silky and ready for further styling.-
Evenly distribute throughout the length of clean, damp, towel-dried hair. Leave on for a few minutes, then rinse with water.

I purchased this product from a physical store. Despite having normal and undamaged hair, it did not work for me. The scent is really nice, almost like a perfume. However, the consistency is quite thin, more like a conditioner or balm rather than a mask. Unfortunately, my hair did not feel moisturized at all after using the mask. In fact, the ends felt even drier. I definitely won't be trying it again.
I tried the shampoo from this line and followed it up with the conditioner. The results are noticeable!
I find this mask to be suitable for me. The effect is noticeable if applied to damp hair and left on for a short while.
It made my hair extremely dry and the scent is unpleasant. I do not recommend it.
Useless item. Besides the interesting scent, it does nothing for the hair.
The mask is just a mask. It doesn't do anything bad, but it also doesn't do much good.
I have been using this shampoo from the same line, and the results are excellent. It truly smooths out the hair. The volume to price ratio is satisfactory for me, so I recommend it.
More like a balm. It has a great scent, but there is no "wow" effect at all.
You can definitely try it out! The price-volume-effectiveness ratio is good. If you use it for the type of hair it is recommended for, your expectations will be met. It truly straightens out a few waves. The scent is strong, but it doesn't linger on the hair much more than other perfumed masks. It provides restoration, which accumulates after 2-3 uses. The consistency is not heavy and allows for regular use with each wash.
However, as stated, it gives a velvety effect to the hair, not a silky one. This is important to note! It is not meant for immediate mirror-like smoothness, but specifically for a velvety finish, softening, flexibility, and restoration of stiff wavy hair. It works.
After the first use, I didn't notice any difference compared to the previous product. However, on the fourth try, my hair became more manageable, softer, and didn't get oily as quickly (I didn't change the shampoo). I have some concerns about combing, so I would rate it a 4. The scent is quite strong, but it almost disappears when the hair dries.
The best hair mask I have ever come across! After using it, my hair feels incredibly soft and smooth. It has a pleasant texture and a scent that stays on my hair all day long. It doesn't weigh my hair down, and it makes detangling very easy (I have porous and curly hair that has undergone bleaching and multiple dyeing sessions).
The mask is good, with a nice and exotic scent. It leaves the hair easy to comb through.
The texture is more reminiscent of a balm. The effect is stunning (hair is nourished, silky, and shiny) for up to three days. The scent, of course, is subjective, but it also lingers on the hair and skin for a long time.
The mask is absolutely not suitable for porous blond hair. It does not moisturize and makes it very difficult to comb the hair.
The mask is effective in its action - it doesn't weigh down the hair, doesn't dry it out, and doesn't turn it into a mess. The hair is easily combed and flows nicely. If compared to Israeli masks with argan oil, this one is better in terms of its effect, as it doesn't contain foaming components that only dry out the hair. However, I won't repurchase this mask for one reason only - the smell. It has a strong, oriental scent that I would even describe as masculine. It is so intense that even a day after washing my hair, I can still smell it. But for lovers of oriental fragrances, it might be appealing.
