Acryl Gel is a new technique for modeling artificial nails. This material is more pliable and easier to work with, lacking the harsh, off-putting odor associated with other products. I use all products from this manufacturer. They have a good price and very nice quality. The polygel spreads evenly and dries perfectly. I recommend not only this product but also the entire range of products from this manufacturer to professionals and beginner artists.
I purchased the shades 03 - light pink and 01 - transparent. I have a 48W lamp, and it cures in 1 minute. For complete drying, I add an additional minute. I file it with a 120 grit file. It doesn't dry in the air, but remains flexible, and after extension and reinforcement, it becomes very solid. I extend it using regular forms. What do I like about it compared to regular gel? It doesn't peel off. Will I order more? Yes. The only downside is that it's difficult to squeeze out of the tube. At the beginning, it's manageable, but then I simply cut open the packaging and seal it with tape after use.
I purchased the transparent version of this product and I was very disappointed. It does not justify its price at all. The grit is average and it dries okay, but the material is not stiff after drying, rather quite flexible. I don't even know how it will "hold" nail extensions. I applied it to my short nails. Another downside is that it is easily removed with a drill. The label states that it is made in the USA, but on the tube itself, it only says that the material is made in the USA. Most likely, it is packaged and distributed in China.
