1. Degrease the nail surface either mechanically (using a buffer) and/or chemically (using NAIL PREP and a lint-free wipe).
2. If using a low-acidity base, apply Ultrabond non-acid primer to enhance adhesion.
3. Apply a base coat, covering the edge of the nail. If necessary, even out the nail surface. Cure the base coat under a UV lamp for 2-3 minutes or an LED lamp for 30-60 seconds.
4. Apply gel polish, carefully covering the free edge. Apply a second layer for a more saturated color. Cure each layer under a UV lamp for 2 minutes or an LED lamp for 30 seconds.
5. Seal the color with a no-wipe top coat, covering the edge of the nail. Cure under a UV lamp for 1-2 minutes or an LED lamp for 30 seconds. Do not over-cure the top coat!
6. Using an applicator or your fingertip, evenly rub in the powder until the nail surface is fully covered and the mirror effect is achieved.
7. Remove any excess powder from the nail surface using a soft natural-bristle brush, and buff the nail again to restore shine.
8. Treat the nail edges with Ultrabond non-acid primer. Remove excess primer from the brush and carefully seal the edges.
9. Secure any metallic designs with a medium layer of sticky top coat or a thin layer of Rubber Base, followed by a no-wipe top coat.
Product review: Number 2 does not match the photo. There is no mirror effect; it looks more like small glitters.
We bought this powder for personal use and we are satisfied with the effect, considering that we simply use gel-effect nail polish. We ordered #10, a beautiful turquoise shade, but the wrong shade was delivered. We received something similar to #04 (also beautiful, I can't deny that). The correct number is printed on the packaging, but the product's nature is such that you cannot determine the shade by inspecting it at the post office. I don't know whose mistake it is - Makeup's or the manufacturer's, but the product is different from what we ordered.
I purchased shade 05, which appears as a gray iridescent color with a very subtle pink undertone on the nails. The only downside is that it applies in streaks, requiring two coats for an even finish.
