Berdoues Peng Lai Eau de Parfum

Peng Lai Women's Perfumed Water by Berdoues brand is a veritable fairytale that captivates with its fragrance. Its creation was inspired by the myths of the Daoist goddess of flowers, He Xian Gu, who lived on the divine island of Peng Lai, after which the fragrance itself is named. To convey its enchantment and charm, perfumer Sebastien Martin decided to center the entire composition around the Chinese osmanthus—a flower embodying fertility, peace, fidelity, and love.

The osmanthus lends the fragrance a delicate fruity-floral scent, faintly reminiscent of succulent apricots. This intoxicating opening of the perfumed composition gradually unfolds into a sweet, vanilla-creamy Laotian benzoin. It seems that while inhaling the scent, one can also catch subtle hints of spices, smoke, and sun-warmed resin. Tonka beans from Brazil create the final impression of the perfumed water. They exude sweet-bitter notes of dried fruits.
