Jessner's Peel, pH 3.5 Home-Peel

I have sensitive skin. I applied 2 layers, nothing happened. I applied another 2 and then there was a slight tingling sensation. Overall, I applied 6 layers to one area. It burned a little. The skin peeled off just a little bit. It's as if I didn't moisturize at all. Zero effect. Maybe it's a defective batch, maybe the product just doesn't work. Although, judging from the comments, it helps some people. So I lean towards the fact that I just got a defective one.

I am using Jessner for the first time. This superficial peeling is suitable for home use. I applied it in two layers overnight, and it burned a lot, even though my skin is used to peels. On the third day, it started to peel and became red.

I noticed a significant positive outcome with this product. The peeling subsided after a week, and I could visibly observe a noticeable reduction in pigmentation.

It really burns the skin, to the point of causing palpitations from the pain. However, everything subsides after applying sunscreen after 4 layers, in a matter of seconds. Peeling occurred after 3-4 days. The skin seemed somewhat rejuvenated. I will continue the course.

Very good! It doesn't irritate the nose and doesn't make the eyes water. I applied it with a brush in 5 layers every 5 minutes. It didn't sting. In the morning, my skin felt tight! What I liked was that the dead skin peeled off like a snake and it didn't flake. My face felt refreshed! When applying the peeling for the second and subsequent times, and the skin is already cleansed, can I apply it all over my face again, or should I only apply it to areas where the skin hasn't peeled off yet? It has been 2 weeks since I did the Jessner peel. I am satisfied with the results. It is remarkably different from superficial peels. After the Jessner peel, the skin peels significantly, and the skin truly renews throughout the face, whereas after a superficial peel (such as a Wine peel), the skin peels minimally and in small particles.

The skin completely renewed within a relatively short period of time. This may appeal to those who want to get rid of dull skin tone, post-acne marks, and blemishes. The skin's microrelief became smoother, softer, and more even, and bumps and enlarged pores disappeared. Fine lines on the forehead and smile lines were smoothed out. The skin became cleaner and brighter, and the post-acne marks also became lighter.

I give it 3 stars as my feelings about it are very mixed. I followed the instructions and have already done 4 procedures, but the effect is almost non-existent, to say the least. It does work, but only when the skin peels off, and a few days after the exfoliation, everything goes back to how it was before, and the blackheads, pigmentation, and breakouts are still very noticeable. I will finish the course, of course, but I'm definitely not expecting any miracles. By the way, I only do it once a week because on the 3rd day, the peeling starts, and by the 6th day, it's as if nothing has changed, maybe even worse. Honestly, I expected better.

I do not recommend this product. I spent a long time choosing a peeling based on reviews and it was such a disappointment. There is no result. There is only slight peeling on the sides of my nose and chin after applying 5 layers. I used it twice, but the effect is the same, or rather, there is no effect at all. I bought the Peeling product for the second time. During the first time, I experienced some peeling on my chin and on the nasolabial fold on the 3rd day after 1-2 procedures. The effect was noticeable: my pores tightened, blackheads disappeared, and my skin became smooth.

However, during the second time, there was less peeling, but my skin didn't become as smooth as before. The small wrinkles didn't improve, my skin tone didn't even out, and the blackheads were still present. It didn't get worse, but I was hoping for more noticeable results.

I have combination skin with visible pores.

For me, this is a gentle exfoliator. Nothing flakes off, I use it as a pre-peeling before a stronger one. Overall, it seems like my face is cleaner, blackheads have disappeared.

I have done peels before. In the spring, I had a laser resurfacing treatment. I tried the Jessner peel for home use for the first time. I applied 4 layers, following the instructions. I received not the Jessner peel, but rather alcohol diluted with water. After following the procedure instructions (applying 4 layers), my face didn't even turn slightly pink. There was no sign of any peeling whatsoever.

I have been a long-time fan of this peeling product. Of course, there are some nuances - it is based on resorcinol, which CAN CAUSE AN ALLERGIC REACTION, so if you are unfamiliar with how your skin reacts to this component, it is better to test it beforehand before applying it to your entire face. As for the peeling itself, I consider it one of the best and affordable options. It smooths out wrinkles, eliminates breakouts, reduces pores (I have combination skin), evens out the complexion, and firms the skin. Typically, I do 5 procedures per season (one jar is enough, and there is still some left - I also use it on my hands, neck, and décolleté area). For the eye area, I apply only two layers per procedure, and for the face, I apply three layers. After the peeling, the next morning, I simply wash my face with cool water and always apply sunscreen and plenty of moisturizers: boosters, serums with panthenol, sometimes Solcoseryl cream, and Eplan. I am very meticulous in selecting skincare products, for example: the sunscreen must be suitable for post-peeling skin (which is considered damaged in this case), and other creams and cleansers should be free from mineral oils, ethanol, acids, retinol, SLS, etc.

Terrible exfoliation product.
Ladies, before buying this, consult with a specialist! I read a bunch of good reviews and ordered it, but don't repeat my mistakes. It ruined my skin. I applied two thin layers once, following all the recommendations, and ALL of my skin (especially my forehead, chin, and cheeks) broke out in persistent rashes.

I have been using this peeling treatment for the third year now. It is truly excellent and effective! I have had breakouts practically my whole life, but now, for the past three years, I have forgotten about them! And my skin has become as it was in my youth! I have combination skin. I am 27 years old. I am undergoing this peeling course with the goal of refreshing my complexion, getting rid of spots from occasional pimples, tightening pores, and most importantly, removing blackheads and acne in the T-zone.
There is peeling, especially in the area around the mouth, forehead, and nose. Unfortunately, with the stated tasks of "peeling fighting acne, freckles, pigmented spots, expression lines, and age wrinkles," it only manages to do half of it. It did tighten pores and remove a fold in the nasolabial area, but the acne and pink pigmented spots are still there. There is no effect of renewed skin, like after using the same TCA. There is also no freshness to the skin.

I first used the pre-peeling product of this brand for two weeks (and I really liked it), then I applied this product according to the instructions and unfortunately, it caused an allergy the next morning (small rashes in the applied area). I have oily skin and bought the peeling for smoothing acne scars - it won't help in this situation (even a course of medium-depth TCA peeling from a cosmetologist didn't help me). It's better to consult a professional doctor-cosmetologist instead of experimenting on your own.

The first time I applied 2 layers, there was no peeling. The second time I tried 3 layers, and it was the same. On the third attempt, I applied 4 layers and switched to using a bone instead of a cotton swab, which resulted in a slight peeling effect starting from the third day, similar to a superficial peel. For the fourth try, I decided to apply the product only on specific areas, with about 4-5 layers. On the third day, scabs started to peel off. So, the peeling essentially works, but it requires a lot of effort to achieve noticeable results. You need to apply 4 layers precisely and ensure that the frost effect is visible. At least, that's the only method that worked for me. I don't expect any mid-level effects.

I will say right away that my skin has been hardened by rigorous peels from a cosmetologist for the past 7 years. I have never indulged in such treatments at home because I undergo professional peeling courses twice a year. However, this year I was unable to complete the full spring course due to the current situation, so I decided to try it at home. The first time I applied 2 layers, there was no peeling at all, even though I usually have a strong reaction after using Jessner. The second time, again 2 layers, and I applied 4 layers on problem areas. During application, there was a noticeable tingling sensation, unlike the first time. On the third day, where I applied 4 layers, the skin started cracking and peeling, so the process had begun. The texture, of course, became immediately smoother, which is expected after all peels. The breakouts that were developing subsided, and the pores improved. Of course, it cannot be compared to professional peeling, nor is it necessary. For at-home care, preventing blackheads, working on texture, or simply completing a course if you don't have major skin issues, this is an excellent product! One jar will last for 5-6 applications if done in multiple layers. I will definitely try the salicylic one as well. But ladies, don't forget to always apply SPF when going outside after these procedures.

Secondly, my skin became of a completely different quality - soft and firm, as if it had been rolled back a couple of years. Thirdly, other procedures, like cleansing, now work more effectively on my skin. The pores are truly cleaned out and the result lasts. Before, the effect of cleansing would only last two to three days, and then my pores would get clogged again. This is the result I was hoping for, but I couldn't achieve it with any other peeling.

I have been using this brand's salicylic peel for the past year and this year as well. Last year, I had great results with good exfoliation. However, unfortunately, something has changed with the salicylic peel as there is no exfoliation anymore. The procedure is not complicated, I followed all the instructions. After applying, my face burns like hell for about 5 minutes, then there are no uncomfortable sensations.
The face immediately turns purple.
Peeling starts on the 3rd or 4th day.
During this time, I applied aloe vera gel.
All the small pimples and roughness burned off.
The main thing is to try not to touch your face. It is necessary for the peeling to happen naturally, if you touch it and "help," scars may remain.
If there are any potential problems, they will appear. I immediately had a herpes outbreak on my face, not critical, but not pleasant either.
By the 8th or 9th day, almost everything disappears and the skin remains soft and smooth.

For the Jessner peel itself, I applied two layers during the first procedure, and then three layers for the second and third times. The sensations were not very pleasant, but tolerable. If you have previously done salon peels, then the effect of this product will be non-existent. The exfoliation on my skin was minimal, it did not fulfill its purpose. The exfoliant from the Polish company Jadwiga proved to be significantly more effective, even though it contains less acid.

I first did the pre-peeling 5 times, also from this brand. Even after that, my face looked better. Yesterday, I applied three layers of Jessner peel. After the procedure, my face became slightly red. After a couple of hours, my skin felt tight. I will continue to update this review with more information about the results because I plan to do the Jessner peel again. I have problematic oily skin. Some time ago, I went to a cosmetologist for a whole year and did peels of this brand every month. The results were mixed, some improvements here and there, but it didn't solve the problem completely. However, it did improve the overall condition of my skin. I chose the Jessner peel simply because of its supposed cumulative effect (since I have a bottle that can be used multiple times), as advised by the cosmetologist. But then and now, this peel has left less of an impression on me compared to salicylic or retinol peels, for example. It seems to be a matter of individual preference, as the milk peel, which contains lactic acid, doesn't work for me at all. Maybe it's because of the lactic acid, but it's worth trying. I can definitely say it does its job, although the peeling lasts not just a few days, but a whole week. From there, it's a matter of personal preference. They recommended rinsing it off with water slightly diluted with vinegar.
