On pre-cleansed skin, apply a thin layer of 1-2ml of the peeling solution using a brush. The exposure time for the chemical composition is 2-5 minutes. The number of layers applied can vary from 2 to 4. Do not rinse off! After completing the process, apply a protective cream with SPF. Wash your face with warm, slightly acidic water after 12-14 hours. To achieve optimal peeling results, it is generally recommended to undergo 4 to 6 procedures at intervals of 14-20 days. The frequency can also vary based on individual characteristics and skin type.

If you haven't tried Jessner peeling, then you don't know anything about peeling 🤣. It burns like hell, I even have a special taste in my mouth after I prepare the necessary amount 🫣. But the result of the procedure, as they say, is on the face: the skin is brighter, smoother, tighter, and there are no even facial wrinkles. This is the procedure that is worth these money, unpleasant sensations, and efforts 👍😃.
I used to use retinol. It's like night and day. The previous one was too strong, it felt like I was in hell. My skin was burning, I thought it would all peel off in a day. After 4 days, it was almost gone, but my skin regenerates quickly and is not prone to breakouts. When I go outside, I use SPF50, but at home, I apply Bepanthen tattoo cream. It moisturizes longer and doesn't irritate the skin. I don't have any pigmentation spots. I can already see that I can apply it for the second time, but it's like a parachute - the first time is not as scary because you don't know how it will turn out. I recommend it!
I purchase this peeling product once every six months to complete a course of procedures. I do it myself at home. The instructions are clear and easy to understand. I am always satisfied with the results. I recommend not applying multiple layers of the peeling product at once, but rather trying it with just one layer (as any peeling product is highly individual) and observing your skin's reaction for at least 30 minutes. Wishing everyone beauty :)
I bought this exfoliator for the first time in the autumn, and the results were not great, but my face did become slightly brighter. I bought it again in January of this year, and after using it, I started getting stubborn pimples that have been lingering for the past two weeks.
I have been using this peeling product for many years. But this time, it was very harsh!!! It even caused a burn. Although I have been using Jessner's peeling for 8 years now, I have never experienced anything like this before.
I will not buy it again. I regularly do peels. I will not go back to Jessner. First of all, it burned me a lot, I applied 3 layers. Within a year, on the second day, a film covers my face, which starts peeling on the third day. The skin fully recovers on the 5th-6th day. I have tried the glycolic peel from this brand and I prefer it more, I will return to it.
I completed a course of 4 procedures, applying three layers each time. One jar was just enough. The skin's microrelief became smoother, more even, and delicate, and the bumps and enlarged pores disappeared. Fine expression lines on the forehead and smile lines smoothed out. The skin became clearer and brighter. The post-acne spots lightened. The small hole on the skin, apparently from a previous inflammation (it was a deep indentation, small in diameter), became almost unnoticeable. I will definitely repeat the treatment in two months!
I bought the Prepeeling and Jessner products for myself and followed the instructions for both. I used the Prepeeling to prepare my skin for almost a month before doing the peeling. I did three Jessner treatments over the course of three weeks. The results were definitely great, and the instructions for both products were clear and easy to understand. It was hard to do anything wrong because of the clear instructions. I recommend them to everyone. Have a great day!
Overall, I don't know who this product helps. But for me, it was a complete disappointment.
I have never used peels, acids, etc. before. I have sensitive skin, uneven complexion, and enlarged pores. I applied this product, following all the instructions, by applying 5 layers on a small area of my face.
The area turned red. For the next 4 days, it was just a red spot with a film-like sensation. Around the 6th or 7th day, it started to peel slightly. The treated area shed small flakes for two days. Finally, after another 2 days, the redness almost disappeared. And... no effect. The skin on the treated area is exactly the same as on the untreated area. The pores did not shrink, the complexion did not change. Nothing.
In fact, walking around for two weeks with a red, peeling spot, as if my skin was dry and burned, and not getting any results. Well, that's something.
The best effect can be achieved by buying the cheapest face scrub. In principle, if you apply around 15 layers, it will work for calluses. And even then, it will only be a light superficial peel.
This product does not belong to professional products.
This is a great exfoliating product. I applied three layers, using about 30 drops. All three layers felt like they were being done by a professional cosmetologist. On the third day, my skin started to peel. By the seventh day, there was no more peeling. So, it's best to plan for the entire procedure to take about a week. For the first two days, I applied panthenol to my face, and then switched to a barrier-restoring cream.
I have sensitive skin. I applied 2 layers, nothing happened. I applied another 2 and then there was a slight tingling sensation. Overall, I applied 6 layers to one area. It burned a little. The skin peeled off just a little bit. It's as if I didn't moisturize at all. Zero effect. Maybe it's a defective batch, maybe the product just doesn't work. Although, judging from the comments, it helps some people. So I lean towards the fact that I just got a defective one.
I am using Jessner for the first time. This superficial peeling is suitable for home use. I applied it in two layers overnight, and it burned a lot, even though my skin is used to peels. On the third day, it started to peel and became red.
I noticed a significant positive outcome with this product. The peeling subsided after a week, and I could visibly observe a noticeable reduction in pigmentation.
It really burns the skin, to the point of causing palpitations from the pain. However, everything subsides after applying sunscreen after 4 layers, in a matter of seconds. Peeling occurred after 3-4 days. The skin seemed somewhat rejuvenated. I will continue the course.
Very good! It doesn't irritate the nose and doesn't make the eyes water. I applied it with a brush in 5 layers every 5 minutes. It didn't sting. In the morning, my skin felt tight! What I liked was that the dead skin peeled off like a snake and it didn't flake. My face felt refreshed! (Previously, I tried a salicylic acid product... it stung a lot and was unbearable to breathe, and I also tried some other products from this brand, but they made my skin feel thick and oily)
Effective peeling. I have used it once and will repeat it after 2 weeks. This peeling impressed me more than the retinol one from the same brand.
Thank you Makeup for the fast delivery, as well as to the courier Yevheniy - he is a polite, well-mannered, and friendly guy who always delivers orders on time in Lviv. Now, about the peeling. I immediately applied 4 layers, as my skin was already familiar with acids, with a 5-minute interval between layers. At first, it stung, but that's how it's supposed to be - it's acid, and then the skin turned red. In the end, I applied sunscreen. I applied the peeling with a brush, ordered it from Makeup based on reviews, and I liked it - the peeling doesn't irritate and applies well with a fan brush number 0. On the third day, my skin started to peel and then flake off, starting from the chin and gradually moving towards the nose. I hope the skin will continue to flake off. So, the peeling works! When applying the peeling for the second and subsequent times, and the skin is already cleansed, can I apply it all over my face again, or should I only apply it to areas where the skin hasn't peeled off yet? Please explain to me, Makeup Expert or readers. I would be very grateful!
It has been 2 weeks since I did the Jessner peel. I am satisfied with the results. It is remarkably different from superficial peels. After the Jessner peel, the skin peels significantly, and the skin truly renews throughout the face, whereas after a superficial peel (such as a Wine peel), the skin peels minimally and in small particles.
The skin completely renewed within a relatively short period of time. This may appeal to those who want to get rid of dull skin tone, post-acne marks, and blemishes. The skin's microrelief became smoother, softer, and more even, and bumps and enlarged pores disappeared. Fine lines on the forehead and smile lines were smoothed out. The skin became cleaner and brighter, and the post-acne marks also became lighter.
I give it 3 stars as my feelings about it are very mixed. I followed the instructions and have already done 4 procedures, but the effect is almost non-existent, to say the least. It does work, but only when the skin peels off, and a few days after the exfoliation, everything goes back to how it was before, and the blackheads, pigmentation, and breakouts are still very noticeable. I will finish the course, of course, but I'm definitely not expecting any miracles. By the way, I only do it once a week because on the 3rd day, the peeling starts, and by the 6th day, it's as if nothing has changed, maybe even worse. Honestly, I expected better.
I was satisfied with the peeling. It lasted for 6 procedures, and I followed the enclosed instructions, even though I have experience in applying peeling at home. I recommend it.
I do not recommend this product. I spent a long time choosing a peeling based on reviews and it was such a disappointment. There is no result. There is only slight peeling on the sides of my nose and chin after applying 5 layers. I used it twice, but the effect is the same, or rather, there is no effect at all. My pores are still the same, blackheads are still there, and there is no improvement or evenness in my skin. This product is useless. I rate it 1 out of 5.
I am completely disappointed! There was no effect at all. I applied 5 layers with 2-minute intervals - and nothing happened. No burning sensation, not even the slightest tingling... And of course, there is no talk of any peeling. Money wasted.
I have been using this product for the third time now. Last year, I decided to try a salicylic one, which was also good but felt lighter. This time, I went back to using the Jessner peel. It is more intense, and after applying four layers, my skin peels off nicely.
I bought the Peeling product for the second time. During the first time, I experienced some peeling on my chin and on the nasolabial fold on the 3rd day after 1-2 procedures. The effect was noticeable: my pores tightened, blackheads disappeared, and my skin became smooth.
However, during the second time, there was less peeling, but my skin didn't become as smooth as before. The small wrinkles didn't improve, my skin tone didn't even out, and the blackheads were still present. It didn't get worse, but I was hoping for more noticeable results.
I have combination skin with visible pores.
For me, this is a gentle exfoliator. Nothing flakes off, I use it as a pre-peeling before a stronger one. Overall, it seems like my face is cleaner, blackheads have disappeared.
I recently purchased the Jessner peel. I tried it once and got the expected result. I want to mention that the instructions for use were clear and easy to understand. I will continue with the treatment. I think the peel will last for about 4-5 procedures. I also bought the moisturizing serum for my mom. I will leave a review for the serum on its page. I highly recommend it.
I have done peels before. In the spring, I had a laser resurfacing treatment. I tried the Jessner peel for home use for the first time. I applied 4 layers, following the instructions. On the first day, my skin only felt slightly tight, with no redness or painful sensations, and consequently, there were no peelings afterward. I am disappointed.
The exfoliant is simply excellent! I didn't even hope for such a fast result! I did one procedure in two layers. The skin tone became more even, and the breakouts disappeared. The oiliness in the T-zone noticeably decreased. Also, the blackheads became almost invisible, although the pores themselves are still visible. The skin became very soft and smooth, even though it's not visually noticeable, but when you touch it, it's pure bliss. The skin also gained some firmness, becoming more toned and elastic. The looseness of the skin, which was noticeable due to the pores, disappeared. I will continue using it! Highly recommend it!
I bought a peeling product during a summer sale. It suited me perfectly and fulfilled its purpose entirely. I highly recommend it!
I have already bought 4 bottles of this product, and the quality has clearly deteriorated! Before, after applying 4 layers, it would tighten my face and peel off in patches (as it should), but now, even with 4 layers, sometimes even 5 layers, the result is just mild peeling. I will be looking for a new exfoliating product.
I received not the Jessner peel, but rather alcohol diluted with water. After following the procedure instructions (applying 4 layers), my face didn't even turn slightly pink. There was no sign of any peeling whatsoever.
I recently completed a peeling course with my cosmetologist, and I am extremely satisfied with the outcome. It turns out that choosing the right peeling is the key to success, accounting for 70% of the overall result.
The peeling worked great. I completed a 3-session course. I highly recommend it.
I have been a long-time fan of this peeling product. Of course, there are some nuances - it is based on resorcinol, which CAN CAUSE AN ALLERGIC REACTION, so if you are unfamiliar with how your skin reacts to this component, it is better to test it beforehand before applying it to your entire face. As for the peeling itself, I consider it one of the best and affordable options. It smooths out wrinkles, eliminates breakouts, reduces pores (I have combination skin), evens out the complexion, and firms the skin. Typically, I do 5 procedures per season (one jar is enough, and there is still some left - I also use it on my hands, neck, and décolleté area). For the eye area, I apply only two layers per procedure, and for the face, I apply three layers. After the peeling, the next morning, I simply wash my face with cool water and always apply sunscreen and plenty of moisturizers: boosters, serums with panthenol, sometimes Solcoseryl cream, and Eplan. I am very meticulous in selecting skincare products, for example: the sunscreen must be suitable for post-peeling skin (which is considered damaged in this case), and other creams and cleansers should be free from mineral oils, ethanol, acids, retinol, SLS, etc.
Terrible exfoliation product.
Ladies, before buying this, consult with a specialist! I read a bunch of good reviews and ordered it, but don't repeat my mistakes. It ruined my skin. I applied two thin layers once, following all the recommendations, and ALL of my skin (especially my forehead, chin, and cheeks) broke out in persistent rashes.
I have been using this peeling treatment for the third year now. It is truly excellent and effective! I have had breakouts practically my whole life, but now, for the past three years, I have forgotten about them! And my skin has become as it was in my youth! Oh my god, thank you so much for finding this product! And a huge thank you to its creators! It is especially nice that this is a domestic product. The Maycapa courier is always punctual and polite.
This is a very worthy product. I chose the peeling together with my cosmetologist. The results were already noticeable on the fourth day after the first procedure. The pores have become smaller and the skin itself has become much less oily. I will also see how the pigmentation fades. If Jessner is not enough, I will try the Glycolic 40%.
It has really gone downhill. I used to buy it, and it would stick to the skin with a thick layer. But now, it's very poor quality. After applying four layers, it forms a thin film with no effect at all. It's a complete waste. It used to be really strong, but apparently, Ukrainian manufacturers all do the same thing - they start with a product that looks normal and then start producing all sorts of junk.
After three procedures with a 10-day interval, unfortunately, I did not see any "wow" effect. Even though I apply 3-4 layers. Previously, I used the same brand's TCA peel and I really liked it.
I have combination skin. I am 27 years old. I am undergoing this peeling course with the goal of refreshing my complexion, getting rid of spots from occasional pimples, tightening pores, and most importantly, removing blackheads and acne in the T-zone.
There is peeling, especially in the area around the mouth, forehead, and nose. Unfortunately, with the stated tasks of "peeling fighting acne, freckles, pigmented spots, expression lines, and age wrinkles," it only manages to do half of it. It did tighten pores and remove a fold in the nasolabial area, but the acne and pink pigmented spots are still there. There is no effect of renewed skin, like after using the same TCA. There is also no freshness to the skin.
I won't be using it again.
I have already done 5 procedures with 3 layers each. The results are simply amazing!! It has the effect of "new skin". Of course, it's not permanent, you have to maintain it. But still, it brings so much joy that I can go out without foundation and no one will be horrified by my face anymore!
I was hesitant about whether to buy it or not, but I decided to make the purchase. I first used the pre-peeling product of this brand for two weeks (and I really liked it), then I applied this product according to the instructions and unfortunately, it caused an allergy the next morning (small rashes in the applied area). I have oily skin and bought the peeling for smoothing acne scars - it won't help in this situation (even a course of medium-depth TCA peeling from a cosmetologist didn't help me). It's better to consult a professional doctor-cosmetologist instead of experimenting on your own.
The first time I applied 2 layers, there was no peeling. The second time I tried 3 layers, and it was the same. On the third attempt, I applied 4 layers and switched to using a bone instead of a cotton swab, which resulted in a slight peeling effect starting from the third day, similar to a superficial peel. For the fourth try, I decided to apply the product only on specific areas, with about 4-5 layers. On the third day, scabs started to peel off. So, the peeling essentially works, but it requires a lot of effort to achieve noticeable results. You need to apply 4 layers precisely and ensure that the frost effect is visible. At least, that's the only method that worked for me. I don't expect any mid-level effects.
I will say right away that my skin has been hardened by rigorous peels from a cosmetologist for the past 7 years. I have never indulged in such treatments at home because I undergo professional peeling courses twice a year. However, this year I was unable to complete the full spring course due to the current situation, so I decided to try it at home. The first time I applied 2 layers, there was no peeling at all, even though I usually have a strong reaction after using Jessner. The second time, again 2 layers, and I applied 4 layers on problem areas. During application, there was a noticeable tingling sensation, unlike the first time. On the third day, where I applied 4 layers, the skin started cracking and peeling, so the process had begun. The texture, of course, became immediately smoother, which is expected after all peels. The breakouts that were developing subsided, and the pores improved. Of course, it cannot be compared to professional peeling, nor is it necessary. For at-home care, preventing blackheads, working on texture, or simply completing a course if you don't have major skin issues, this is an excellent product! One jar will last for 5-6 applications if done in multiple layers. I will definitely try the salicylic one as well. But ladies, don't forget to always apply SPF when going outside after these procedures.
Safe for home use. Provides good results. Brightens. However, there is no excessive peeling. (Gentle for me)
I have tried different peelings both at salons and at home. This peeling was the strongest and most effective one I have ever done at home. Firstly, it pulled out the subcutaneous layers. Secondly, my skin became of a completely different quality - soft and firm, as if it had been rolled back a couple of years. Thirdly, other procedures, like cleansing, now work more effectively on my skin. The pores are truly cleaned out and the result lasts. Before, the effect of cleansing would only last two to three days, and then my pores would get clogged again. This is the result I was hoping for, but I couldn't achieve it with any other peeling.
I have been using this brand's salicylic peel for the past year and this year as well. Last year, I had great results with good exfoliation. However, unfortunately, something has changed with the salicylic peel as there is no exfoliation anymore. I decided to try this product instead and it has been a week since the peel, but there are no signs of exfoliation, although it stings like crazy. Please bring back the old formula, I am willing to pay more to continue using the previous product.
I ordered this "miracle product" in the autumn.
After the first use, it lasted for 5 months and three procedures (one bottle was enough for me).
It really works and burns off the top layer of skin. Without embellishments, it truly burns everything!
In order:
The procedure is not complicated, I followed all the instructions. After applying, my face burns like hell for about 5 minutes, then there are no uncomfortable sensations.
The face immediately turns purple.
Peeling starts on the 3rd or 4th day.
During this time, I applied aloe vera gel.
All the small pimples and roughness burned off.
The main thing is to try not to touch your face. It is necessary for the peeling to happen naturally, if you touch it and "help," scars may remain.
If there are any potential problems, they will appear. I immediately had a herpes outbreak on my face, not critical, but not pleasant either.
By the 8th or 9th day, almost everything disappears and the skin remains soft and smooth.
After the peel, the pores became smaller (I had a problem with enlarged pores).
It is important to understand that during the 10 days after the peel, your face will not be very attractive, neither creams nor makeup will save it, so plan your schedule accordingly.
Absolutely no makeup allowed!
This product is truly effective! I recommend it (when used reasonably and according to the instructions).
I agree with Daria's review. I took courses last year and the year before, and for a few days afterwards, I had a reddish-brown color on my skin from applying four layers. My husband was always scared and wanted to call an ambulance. I could barely remove the redness with a wet towel.
This time, after applying four layers, my skin is slightly pink in the morning, but it doesn't burn at all. I can even walk around calmly in public. It's a pity that they clearly changed the composition.
The heat is intense, but it is definitely worth it. My skin feels rejuvenated and my pores have significantly reduced in size.
Last year, the effect was similar to that of a salon peeling procedure. This year, they apparently changed the formula, and it became super lightweight. I am very disappointed.
Before purchasing, I consulted with my cosmetologist who said that the composition was normal and advised me to start applying it with two layers. However, I didn't feel any difference or benefit from applying just two layers. So, the next time I applied four layers, and for the next 3-6 days, I experienced some minor peeling. It didn't have anything in common with a salon peeling treatment and couldn't replace it. The effect on the skin after peeling was practically non-existent.
I have been using this exfoliator for 3 years now. The latest product that I purchased didn't meet my expectations. It is less concentrated compared to previous ones. There is some result and peeling effect, but it is not as effective as before. I followed all the instructions, but both the first and second time I used it, the results were mediocre. Thank you, makeup, as always, for the quick and good service.
Good and effective!
It is definitely cheaper than in a salon, but first I went to the salon to see what and how it is done.
This peel was the strongest and most effective of all that I have done. Firstly, it pulled out the subcutaneous layers. Secondly, my skin became of a completely different quality, soft and firm, as if it had been rolled back a couple of years. Thirdly, other procedures, like cleansing, now work more effectively on it, the pores are really getting cleaned out and the results last. Previously, the effect of cleansing lasted only two days, then the pores would get clogged again. This is the result I was counting on, but I couldn't achieve it with any other peel.
Before the peeling, I did a preparatory procedure (which can also be done separately) - a milk peel. I experienced some slight peeling, but it was not too noticeable. Mostly, the peeling occurred on my nose and mouth area. My skin reacted well to it and did not break out.
For the Jessner peel itself, I applied two layers during the first procedure, and then three layers for the second and third times. The sensations were not very pleasant, but tolerable. The stinging sensation lasted for about 10 minutes. When I immediately looked at my face after the procedure, it was slightly pinkish.
Peeling started on the third day, first on the chin, then on the cheeks and upwards. The peeling was abundant, almost in layers. I restrained myself from picking at it, knowing that it was not recommended.
I am satisfied with the result. It is significantly different from superficial peels. After the Jessner peel, the skin noticeably sheds, and it truly rejuvenates throughout the face, whereas with superficial peels (such as milk peels), the shedding is minimal and in small particles. The skin fully renewed in a relatively short period of time. This may appeal to those who want to get rid of dull skin tone, post-acne marks, and blemishes. The pores on the skin from inflammatory elements are almost invisible.
I will repeat the procedure for the fourth time in the next two weeks. I will also share the results, in case it helps someone.
If you have previously done salon peels, then the effect of this product will be non-existent. The exfoliation on my skin was minimal, it did not fulfill its purpose. The exfoliant from the Polish company Jadwiga proved to be significantly more effective, even though it contains less acid.
I first did the pre-peeling 5 times, also from this brand. Even after that, my face looked better. Yesterday, I applied three layers of Jessner peel. After the procedure, my face became slightly red. After a couple of hours, my skin felt tight. I will continue to update this review with more information about the results because I plan to do the Jessner peel again. For now, I am very satisfied with everything.
I have been familiar with acids for a very long time. I have problematic skin. I applied a peel to my entire face and layered it three times on my forehead. This resulted in severe swelling. I have had a swollen forehead for over a day now, with semi-closed eyes. I definitely got rid of it.
I bought a peeling product back in May, and only now did I finally get around to doing the first procedure. First impressions: the results are amazing - my acne scars have reduced, my pores have tightened, and there is a slight peeling effect. I will repeat the procedure in three weeks.
I have problematic oily skin. Some time ago, I went to a cosmetologist for a whole year and did peels of this brand every month. The results were mixed, some improvements here and there, but it didn't solve the problem completely. However, it did improve the overall condition of my skin. So, I was very excited when I saw these peels at the makeup store, especially considering the price for one session is equivalent to the price of an entire jar. I chose the Jessner peel simply because of its supposed cumulative effect (since I have a bottle that can be used multiple times), as advised by the cosmetologist. But then and now, this peel has left less of an impression on me compared to salicylic or retinol peels, for example. It seems to be a matter of individual preference, as the milk peel, which contains lactic acid, doesn't work for me at all. Maybe it's because of the lactic acid, but it's worth trying. I can definitely say it does its job, although the peeling lasts not just a few days, but a whole week. From there, it's a matter of personal preference. They recommended rinsing it off with water slightly diluted with vinegar.
