Apply to towel-dried hair, leave on for 5-7 minutes, rinse off with a plenty of water. Wearing gloves is recommended.
It effectively removes yellowish tones, without adding any blonde tint.
The yellow one works great for cleaning, but I don't see any toning effects.
I tried balayage on my natural hair and started using this mask and shampoo. It removes yellow tones well, but the toning effect is almost non-existent. So, I decided to try Kerastase: the toning effect is just wow, but it turns my natural hair yellow and it's terrible. After a week, I went back to Lakme. I'm giving it a low rating because the toning is almost non-existent, you need to leave it on for about 20 minutes (if less, there will be no effect at all), and it requires a lot of mask usage.
I have used the old version of the mask and shampoo from this series, and I really liked the effect on my lightened hair. Now I bought it again, after the manufacturer allegedly changed the formula to a 'vegan' one, but for some reason, the effect is completely different. I don't see any ashiness at all after use. On the contrary, it seems like my hair is becoming even more reddish. The color of the product itself used to be purple, now it's closer to blue.
