Annick Goutal Bois D'Hadrien Eau de Parfum is a modern interpretation of the eponymous iconic fragrance released in 1981. The difference between the perfumes is that the predecessor was woven from the accords of Mediterranean lemon trees, and the new version is filled with spicy and woody notes, thanks to the contrast of which the unisex composition fascinates from the first breath. An olfactory cocktail will take you on an evening journey through the hilly Tuscany when the aromas of nature open up to beauty.
The olfactory pyramid of Annick Goutal Bois D'Hadrien Eau de Parfum:
Top notes open the perfume with multifaceted woody shades, the resinous coolness of spruce, and herbal accords of refreshing ivy.
Heart notes delight with bright, energizing lime, bitter pine nuances, and colorful, exciting spices.
Base notes complete the fragrance with slightly tart, soothing tints of cypress.
I don't hear any forest or pine needles. For me, this is a bitter grass, but not mowed or crushed between fingers (the scent is much thinner, transparent), but as it would smell growing on a hill with bushes, somewhere on the shore of a warm sea. The scent is initially sparkling fresh with some citrus notes, but quickly becomes calmer. It is not sweet, fresh, and does not turn into a soap smell over time, but it seems to become slightly more bitter. It is perfectly suitable for hot weather or the office, as it is light, green-grassy, and won't suffocate anyone. Although it didn't receive the "forest" I expected, I am satisfied with the purchase.
Beautiful and delicate wine glass, reminiscent of sun-warmed pine trees, lemon trees, and soft incense. It bears some resemblance to the Duetto Duelle, but without their characteristic tartness.
The fragrance has a bitter grassy scent reminiscent of Byredo Gypsy Water. I really enjoy wearing it during hot summer days. It doesn't bother me at all and stays close to the skin. It's a decent perfume and I highly recommend it.
Just another trendy product, nothing more.
