Use as intended.
At first, I didn't like it at all; it seemed to leave streaks when applying foundation. However, on the second try, it was perfect. It's different from other sponges of the same brand. It doesn't expand in size after being dampened and hardly absorbs any foundation, so you can use minimal product. It leaves a matte finish. Currently, I'm using Guerlain Terracotta foundation.
This sponge is awesome. Before this, I had the standard orange one from the same brand, which I didn't like at all - it had minimal coverage and absorbed a lot of foundation. This one, however, is completely different from the orange one. It hardly expands when wet, absorbs significantly less foundation, and cleans wonderfully. I use it daily, so I wash it every day as well. After 2 months of constant use, it still looks brand new.
I didn't like it at all. For this price, I could have bought five no-name brands and they would have been better. This beauty blender turned out to be like a sponge, it absorbed everything, poorly distributes and it's also very soft. I don't recommend it.
The coverage does not give a matte finish (even when using a matte foundation), probably due to the material. It might be suitable for those who desire a glowy effect. However, for me, it's a bit off the mark.
The best sponge for applying a smooth, lightweight layer of cosmetic product. It is worth its price.
