Before using the cup for the first time, sterilize it in boiling water for 3-5 minutes. Be sure to wash your hands with soap beforehand. Fold the cup. There are different folding methods - you can try a few and choose the one that works best for you. Insert the folded cup and let it expand inside the vagina. Once inserted, the cup will open with a characteristic suction or popping sound, indicating it has been correctly positioned. If you're unsure, feel the base of the cup - it should be round or oval when properly inserted. If you feel any dents or indentations, it means the cup has not fully opened. Gently hold the base of the cup (not the stem) and try to rotate it to create a suction seal. Once in place, give the stem a slight tug; if you feel resistance, the suction is set, and the cup is successfully positioned!
