The MeLuna Menstrual Cup with a loop, size XL, transparent, from the MeLuna brand, presents an economically advantageous and eco-friendly alternative to sanitary pads or tampons. This product can be used for several years. The cup is made from a durable and resilient material - thermoplastic elastomer (TPE). It is not only resistant but also hypoallergenic. Furthermore, unlike tampons or pads, the cup is more hygienic as it does not leave any fibres behind, and it collects the fluid without absorbing it. This is why the cup prevents excessive dryness of the vagina, the development of mycoses, and bacterial diseases.
Features of the MeLuna Classic Menstrual Cup:
- The Classic model is universal, medium in flexibility, suitable for women with normal to moderately trained pelvic floor muscles;
- Diameter - 47 mm;
- Height - 56 mm;
- Capacity - 42 ml;
- Easily unfolds inside after insertion;
- The loop facilitates convenient removal of the cup, and a firmer rim prevents accidental spillage;
- It can safely remain inside for up to 12 hours, however, the product should be replaced according to the amount of discharge.-
Before first use, sterilize the cup in boiling water for 3-5 minutes. Make sure to wash your hands with soap beforehand. Fold the cup. There are different folding methods—try various ones and choose the one that suits you best. Insert the folded cup and allow it to expand inside the vagina. Once inserted, the cup should open with a characteristic suction or popping sound, indicating it is correctly positioned. If you are unsure, feel the bottom of the cup—it should be round or oval when properly inserted. If you notice dents or indentations, the cup has not fully opened. Gently grip the base of the cup (not the stem) and try to rotate it to create a suction seal. Once in place, gently tug on the stem; if you feel resistance, the suction is established, and the cup is successfully positioned!
