Before first use, sterilize the cup by boiling it in water for 3-5 minutes. Be sure to wash your hands with soap beforehand. Fold the cup. There are different folding methods—try a few to find the one that works best for you. Insert the folded cup and allow it to expand inside the vagina. Once inserted, the cup will open with a characteristic suction or popping sound, indicating that it is properly in place. If unsure, feel the base of the cup—it should be round or oval upon insertion. If you notice dents or folds in the cup, it hasn't fully expanded. Gently grasp the base of the cup (not the stem) and try to rotate it to create a suction seal. Once in place, gently tug on the stem; if you feel resistance, the suction is established, and the cup is successfully inserted!
