Ma Jolie Eau de Parfum by Georges Rech is an ode to femininity, sensuality, and the uniqueness of women. This time, perfumer Olivier Polge has outdone himself – the oriental-floral composition is vibrant and intriguing, enhancing the natural charm of its wearer a hundredfold.
The fragrance composition opens with a fresh symphony of noble bergamot bitterness, juicy fruit-honey accords of pear, captivating herbal-woody motifs of blackcurrant, and light, summery, energetic berry notes. The "heart" of the perfume unfolds with the fragrant aroma of roses, floral-musky flows of jasmine, and bittersweet notes of orange blossom, in which subtle indolic and rubbery tones are audible. The sensual trail of the perfume consists of the spicy sweetness of vanilla and the balsamic-woody overtones of musk and patchouli.
The fragrance has a similar style to Armani Si, and the notes are similar as well. If you like those, you will probably like this one too. It suited my sister well. It is light and has a floral-berry scent.
When I saw the name of this perfume, I couldn't believe my eyes. That's what I used to call my sister when I was studying at the linguistic university, learning French. My sister's name is Yulia, and instead of Ma Julie, I would say Ma Jolie - which means my dear, pretty, it's a play on words. I never thought I would come across something like this. I bought it as a gift for her. Once I give it to her, I will write a review about the scent itself. Truly, everything that is imagined exists.
I really liked the scent, it reminded me of the mid-90s. It's something from the Arno Sorel series. The longevity is average, not very long-lasting.
I received it. Spraying the fragrance, I was immersed in the wild 90s. The associations are a contrast of a luxurious lady in a fur coat, with a hairstyle a la home, and this gorgeously deadly trail. It is both sweet and piercingly fresh. It simultaneously repels and entices. Jasmine and pear duet solos on me, loudly, colorfully, and chemically, reminding me of difficult times and empty shelves. The bottle is solid and beautiful. I will spray it in my closets. No, I won't. Overall, it is ambiguous to the point of pain. I recommend it to those who are consumed by nostalgia for the 90s.
The fragrance is quite unique. It is not oriental at all for me. I cannot detect any pear notes in it. It is good for winter, but there is a hint of assertiveness. It reminds me of Lalique Nilang de Lalique in some way, although the pyramid is different. I will continue to use it, but I don't think I will order it again. Maybe it will grow on me, as I have only been using it for a few days.
I just received it today and immediately applied it to my wrist. It stays on perfectly all day and has a nice lingering scent. Although I can't quite put my finger on it, it reminds me of something. My initial impression is that it's more suitable for cooler weather, as it can feel a bit heavy in the heat. I will update later on how it wears throughout the day. Overall, it's a good choice even for blind ordering.
