The Ordinary Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution 12% - Brightening Serum With Stabilized Vitamin C Derivative
I haven't noticed a strong "wow" effect yet (been using it for a month), but I have noticed that my skin heals faster after cleansing.
Do not expect results within a week of use. I ordered the serum in December. Now, after daily use, I can say that there are visible results. The skin looks healthier, has a natural glow, and a more even tone. I have stopped using BB and CC creams, and I haven't had any breakouts, maybe just 1 or 2 pimples. I am satisfied and would recommend it.
Unfortunately, I don't notice any effect at all, except for a couple of small pimples that appear after each use.
I really liked the serum: it truly brightens the skin, gives a rosy glow, and reduces winter dryness. I occasionally have breakouts, so this product effectively reduces inflammation. I use it twice a day along with the squalane cream. If you rub the skin well, it may peel a bit, but since I don't wear much makeup, it's not a problem for me.
I have just started using this product and it doesn't feel moisturizing at all. In fact, it feels like I have applied protein on my face. However, after about 15 minutes, this effect disappears. My skin appears more tightened though. But it definitely needs additional moisturization. After 20 minutes, I apply a moisturizing cream.
I ordered this serum a while ago, when The Ordinary was not as easily available in Ukraine. It was my first vitamin C serum, and it was absolutely comfortable and non-irritating. It lasted about 3 months with daily use, and I noticed the following effects: brightening of pigmentation after breakouts, radiance, even skin tone, and strengthening of the skin (as if it became more dense).
This product is a 5/5, simply amazing. After using it, I have now moved on to more active forms of Vitamin C.
The serum worked well for me. It brightens and evens out my skin tone. When I apply it, it doesn't cause any patches or clumps, so I can easily cover it with my moisturizer. I only use it at night.
Not a bad serum, it evens out skin tone.
It is recommended to apply the serum in the evening and after 30 minutes, apply a cream. The consistency of the serum is quite specific, so it might not be suitable for applying before makeup in the morning, unless it is done before getting up. A cosmetologist recommended using a serum with niacinamide in the morning (for problematic oily skin), followed by a cream on top, but it can also be applied directly.
I found it suitable for me: it improves skin elasticity and, though I wouldn't say it whitens, it definitely makes the complexion look fresher. I apply moisturizer afterwards as I don't like the feeling of a film on my face. It doesn't cake, but I don't use foundation, just mineral powder right after moisturizer. I didn't buy it here.
This is a good serum that lightly moisturizes the face, but it definitely requires "sealing" with a cream. There is a slight skin brightening effect. I use it once a day because, as mentioned below, it tends to roll off, but that doesn't bother me.
The serum is decent, but it has a terrible rolling effect no matter how much or how I apply it. It does provide moisturizing and brightening effects as the manufacturer recommends applying it in the morning and evening. However, it is simply impossible to apply it in the morning under makeup as it rolls off.
