The cream has a light texture, somewhere between an emulsion and a lotion, but it's not runny. It absorbs quickly into the skin, doesn't tighten the epidermis, and leaves a pleasant feeling of hydration. It doesn’t clump and spreads evenly. The scent is neutral. I haven't experienced any new breakouts on my problematic and oily skin. The packaging is convenient, with a flat tube. So far, I'm completely satisfied!
I often find reviews lacking in details, so I'm going to include what I couldn't find myself. :) This cream provides some moisture to the skin without leaving a sticky residue and feels like nothing on the skin. It's lightweight, almost like a lotion. It also offers a mattifying effect, but this depends on your skin. I have oily, acne-prone skin, and I use this cream as part of a well-balanced skincare routine. When my skin is well-moisturized, the effect of the cream lasts quite a long time.
It's important to understand that if you have oily skin, just washing it with soap and applying cream isn't enough. Within an hour, your skin will become oily again because it will be dry and will try to "protect" itself by moisturizing with its own oils. However, on well-cleansed and moisturized skin, the effect lasts longer, though not for half the day. So, I still need to use some blotting papers.
The cream does not contain any comedogenic ingredients, and it did not cause any breakouts for me (which can happen with some creams). It has a light, pleasant fragrance. After using it for a month, I'm completely satisfied. It's one of the best I've chosen for myself, and I'll probably order it again. :)
"⭐⭐⭐⭐ I highly recommend this product."
The product does mattify the skin, but it tends to roll off. Before using it, I read other reviews mentioning this issue, so I applied only a tiny amount of the cream, but it still rolled off.
After using this product, I experienced breakouts that I have never had before! I do not recommend it.
I really love La Roche products, but I don't understand this cream. I bought it as a base for makeup, but it catastrophically rolls off. It's just impossible to apply powder on top of it. I also didn't notice that it removes oily shine, maybe it has a cumulative effect, I don't know. Now I use it as a night cream. It absorbs nicely and evens out the skin tone. But it definitely doesn't work for me under makeup, unfortunately.
I have a combination skin type and have previously used regular moisturizers. However, after trying this emulsion once at my friend's place, I immediately ordered one for myself. I don't wear makeup, except for sometimes using mascara, so I'm not sure how it performs in that aspect. I only focus on skincare, and I am amazed at how pleasantly it nourishes the skin without clogging it. It's definitely love at first use! Of course, I have just started using it, so we'll see if there are any downsides, but my friend, who has been using it for about a year, is also very satisfied. Everything is great so far!
I expected better results for this price... Yes, it moisturizes and regulates sebum production well. However, it doesn't tighten pores or provide a matte finish. It also tends to roll off around the edges when applied over makeup. Additionally, it runs out quickly.
This cream is really great, it mattifies the skin! I have a combination sensitive skin type. The only downside is the small volume, it finishes very quickly. Also, sometimes it tends to roll off, which is not pleasant. But overall, it's a great product, I just wish it had a larger volume.
It moisturizes nicely and has a matte finish, which I really like because usually products with a matte finish tend to dry out the skin. The only thing I noticed is that if you apply it before makeup, it might ball up. I tried using less, but in some areas, I still have this issue. Other than that, the cream is perfect and it has definitely reduced breakouts.
The sensation is like using a silicone-based primer to smooth the skin. Indeed, there is a mattifying effect, but it tends to fade quickly, which is quite unpleasant.
I have been using this product for 10 years, and it is absolutely fantastic.
It truly mattifies the skin. By the end of the day, there is almost no greasy shine.
I have tried many creams for oily skin to moisturize and mattify, but this one is the best. It would be great if the manufacturer made this product in a pump. It would be more convenient.
I use it during the summer, when my skin has maximum oily shine, and this product effectively mattifies the skin, providing a good base for makeup without causing any irritations.
I have seborrheic dermatitis, and I bought this product based on the description, and I am very satisfied. There is a noticeable result after the first use. I am happy with it, and it is also convenient to apply makeup afterwards. Thank you, Makeup, for the gift. I will definitely order more.
Waste of money!!! After using this cream, I experienced breakouts and internal pimples. I absolutely do not recommend it.
Awful product. After just one day of use, I experienced irritation in my nasal passages that I have been unable to alleviate for several days now.
I consistently order this product as it suits my sensitive facial skin perfectly.
The only cream that suits me. I have combination skin at 40+, with pores in the T-zone, oiliness appearing in the middle of the day, and uneven skin tone. I apply it over a peptide serum, and when I use this cream, the foundation goes on very smoothly and imperceptibly. My face doesn't get oily for almost the entire day! It evens out my skin tone and makes my pores less noticeable. I keep coming back to this cream. Unfortunately, I've tried other creams, more expensive ones and ones made in Ukraine. This cream is the solution to all my problems. I will be ordering it for the 6th time. I use it at night, either with effaclar duo+ or with Vichy collagen cream.
I love this cream, it's been almost 10 years now. It's an essential product for combination skin.
I really liked it. It didn't cause any breakouts, the foundation applies beautifully, it stays matte for several hours, which I wasn't expecting much considering my oily skin type. I will definitely repurchase it.
Not a bad cream, but the matte effect doesn't last very long. I won't buy it again.
I really liked it, bought it for a teenager, very nice texture, skin has improved.
I have been using this brand for many years because I have problematic skin. I decided to try this cream because I've been struggling with oily skin. It does a decent job of mattifying the skin, BUT it tends to roll off after application, regardless of whether I use it with or without foundation, and regardless of how much I apply. I do not recommend it for those who have breakouts! It will only make them worse and clog the pores. I had completely clear skin for about six months, but as soon as I started using this cream, breakouts began. I gave my skin time to adapt to it, but it didn't get any better. So, draw your own conclusions.. Thank you, Makeup, for the fast delivery!
I have been using this product for several weeks now, after the cleansing gel from this series. I am satisfied with the overall effect. After about 6 hours, there is some shine, but not as much as before. It does not cause itching or redness, even though I have sensitive skin.
The cream is not bad. I have oily skin, so my main concern was mattifying. After applying the cream, my skin doesn't get as oily as quickly, but it's not anything fantastic, the oily shine still persists.
Thank you, Makeup, for the fast delivery.
I really like this product. My skin is problematic, combination, and currently dehydrated. The emulsion mattifies very well, and the effect lasts quite long. However, during the winter period, I feel like it doesn't provide enough moisture for me. After applying the product, my skin feels smooth and pleasant to touch.
Great as a makeup base.
I already have experience using similar matte products from different brands.
This cream has an effect of about 4 out of 5.
It is pleasant to apply and economical. It works well with makeup and does not roll off.
However, I will switch back to another cream when this one runs out because it works better.
I do not recommend it. I purchased it not here, but in a pharmacy network.
It was advertised as a good makeup base. Nothing like that. It does not moisturize. It does mattify strongly - that is true, but it excessively dries out and irritates my skin. My skin actually hurts after applying it. I used it for 2 days in the morning and evening, thinking that my skin would adapt, but no, it only got worse. I tried it only on my T-zone, and it is precisely in the area where I applied the cream that it hurts, and even after a day's break, discomfort persists. I read similar reviews, didn't believe them, now I have experienced it myself. The Effaclar series is completely incomprehensible to me. And I also bought the cleansing gel - same symptoms.
I really like it, I use it as a base under foundation for the entire workday (more than 12 hours). It noticeably reduces the shine on my face (I have combination skin with an oily T-zone). I really like it.
I bought this cream based on my friend's recommendation. After using it, my skin feels smooth and has a blurring effect. However, after applying it, my face tingles a bit and during the summer, my face sweats a lot. So, I only use the cream at night.
I have combination skin that is prone to oiliness and breakouts (especially during PMS). I purchased the entire effaclar line for problem skin. I am satisfied with the products. Within two weeks, I have seen significant results. However, after using the cleansing gel and pore-tightening lotion, or the effaclar DUO cream, my skin feels tight and requires moisturization. If I use regular facial moisturizers, it looks oily. This Moisturizing Mattifying Emulsion solved this problem for me. It's truly a discovery for me and a must-have in my cosmetic collection. It eliminates skin tightness and provides a great matte finish without leaving a greasy shine.
Of course, throughout the day (especially in hot weather), my face becomes oily again, so I use thermal water, which also works well for this issue.
I don't know how I managed without these products before. I am very satisfied with the results.
I bought the Effaclar cleansing gel, toner, and Duo cream. It stings. I have slightly oily skin with enlarged pores and some pimples. Well, I thought that this medicinal effect was worth enduring... I have never had an allergy to any products before! It stings and turns red, like inflammation. I got this cream, thinking it would moisturize and reduce inflammation. Oh boy... This one stings too! My skin has never reacted to anything before! My question to the manufacturers is, why do these products sting? Is this normal? I understand that no one will refund the money now, and 1500 is a lot for me, it's a shame.
I am satisfied with this product. It mattifies well without making my skin feel tight. However, it may not be suitable for dry and normal skin, although I could be mistaken.
Effective, it truly reduces oily shine, doesn't clog pores, and doesn't cause breakouts. I would prefer a larger size. I use it with the toner from the same line and the Cerave gel (although many say that the toner is aggressive and contains alcohol and other things, it is the only one that, when used together, helped me get rid of breakouts).
Decent cream, but not so great in hot weather. Better for nighttime use.
I received and tried it. It is lightweight and pleasant. It didn't last all day for me, by the evening it started to smudge... But I have the same issue with any other product. I will keep an eye on it.
The product has a lightweight texture and provides good moisturization. However, it doesn't leave the skin with a greasy shine for a considerable amount of time. It works effectively throughout the day, and the effects are satisfactory.
The cream lasted for a month, even less than that :/
The cream is amazing. I have been using it with breaks. My skin is combination type and I highly recommend it, especially for those with oily facial skin. Additionally, I also purchased the facial cleansing foam and I am very impressed.
I didn't notice any moisturizing effect at all, but it does handle pores. My face burns and itches, it feels like an allergic reaction to it. I don't know what it's related to. I applied it on my cleansed face in the T-zone. I have combination skin. I don't enjoy the sensation it gives, so I'm afraid to use it regularly.
I purchased this cream based on reviews. I really like it, especially under makeup. The only downside is that there is so little of it.
Great cream, absorbs instantly, pleasantly nourishes the skin, and works amazingly as a moisturizer before applying makeup. The foundation goes on perfectly afterwards. I am currently using La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo+, applying it at night. I haven't noticed any difference, both creams are equally fantastic.
I really liked this cream, just like many other products from the Effaclar line. HOWEVER, I highly recommend EFFACLAR DUO more as it not only mattifies better but also effectively combats imperfections.
I am extremely satisfied with this emulsion! It even works well for my 35+ skin. It leaves my face feeling pleasantly smooth, with reduced irritation and even the disappearance of dryness and cold spots. The mattifying effect is present, but not excessive, although it may not be suitable for very oily skin. It is also quite economical. I have been using it for two months now and I am very pleased.
I really liked this cream. I have normal skin that tends to get oily in the T-zone. It effectively dries out any excess oil without making my skin feel tight. It gives a smooth and velvety feeling, and my skin stays matte for a long time. It's easy to apply and has a minimal scent. I'm satisfied with it!
I didn't really like it, as my skin became oily just an hour after applying.
I really liked this cream. It truly mattifies, and it lasts throughout the whole day. I highly recommend it for those with oily skin and enlarged pores!
This product didn't work for my very oily and porous skin at all. There is no mattifying effect whatsoever. It can be used as a lightweight moisturizer, but not for the summer. I think it will be more suitable for autumn. I used to really like the mattifying cream from Mary Kay, but they discontinued it. I'm currently still searching for a replacement.
I have a very oily T-zone and during the summer period, it is extremely difficult for me to find any product that doesn't create additional shine on my face. This emulsion has been a lifesaver for me. The texture is light and not sticky, with a pleasant scent. It moisturizes and mattifies wonderfully (lasting for about 3 hours on my skin). I use it together with the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo (+) SPF30 micellar foam and toner.
This emulsion is truly very good, it mattifies the skin (although not for long), the texture is liquid and easy to apply. Overall, the Effaclar line is love, I adore the gel from this series and the duo +, it's simply a must-have in my skincare routine. Definitely recommend. ❤️
I have seborrhea around my nose, and this cream helps maintain my skin in a normal condition without the need for special ointments. This is already the third time I am ordering it! It moisturizes excellently, isn't sticky, and is perfect for the summer!
This is an excellent cream that I use for both myself and my husband. It mattifies the skin really well and also helps to minimize pores. I like to use it in combination with the cleansing gel foam for a complete skincare routine.
The pores are tightened, but the oily shine still remains, even when using the entire set of gel/lotion.
I didn't buy it here, it does tighten the pores, but it didn't work for mattifying. After just an hour or so, my face was oily again. Maybe with regular use, the situation will change, I'll test it out.
I bought this cream based on the reviews, but personally, it doesn't work for me and doesn't fulfill its purpose. My skin remains oily, and my forehead still shines. It's a pity I wasted my money on it.
I really like this cream. I have combination skin with breakouts, and this cream effectively mattifies and moisturizes my skin.
The product effectively mattifies the skin, but only temporarily. After the first use, breakouts appeared. I thought it was a coincidence, but after trying it a few more times, it was confirmed. I recommend consulting with a cosmetologist before purchasing it yourself.
