The previous version of the shampoo was extremely popular among dreadlock owners (both natural and synthetic). Why? Because it didn't contain any oils. Personally, I was willing to buy this shampoo even at an inflated price. Dear manufacturer, you had no competition in the braids industry. You were the only one, acting as a monopolist in the market. And now you have made Sunrise In Japan "just another" solid shampoo, of which you already have plenty in your product line. Why did you do that?
I really loved this shampoo because of its incredible scent, how it thoroughly cleaned my oily hair, and how it foamed up after just three passes through my hair.
They rebranded it and completely changed the formula, adding a bunch of stuff, and it only got worse. It now smells like a chemically cherry, and to even get any kind of foam, you have to go over your hair ten times. I haven't achieved that squeaky clean feeling like before.
It's a shame that this isn't the first product from this manufacturer that has gotten worse after the "renewal". I'll have to search for suitable products from another brand again because I don't want to take any more risks and buy something from Mr.Scrubber.
