Anhydrous Lanolin, EP9 Esent

Lanolin (wax) of animal origin, obtained during the process of purifying sheep's wool. Lanolin undergoes dehydration (hence its anhydrous name).

At 20°C (68°F), lanolin is a thick, dense cream-like substance.

Lanolin does not dissolve in water, but it is capable of absorbing water (along with the water-soluble active ingredients) up to 200% of its weight, forming emulsions. It dissolves well in fats. Lanolin has the ability to deeply penetrate the skin. It creates a thin oily film on the surface, insulating the skin from adverse external conditions (dry air, frost, etc.), softens the epidermis, and smoothes the skin. It serves as a natural emulsifier.
