The shampoo is great! I'm not sure how it manages to lather so well—maybe it contains something like soapwort root. It leaves my hair squeaky clean. Here’s how I use it: first, I wash my hair, scalp, and ears twice with Italian natural soap by De Aste (you might know this brand; it markets itself as natural soap). Then, I take one tablespoon of the shampoo and dilute it in a small amount of warm water, gently mix the solution, and pour it into a nozzle tube from a hair dye developer. Voilà, the shampoo is ready to use. I wash my hair twice with it. Just be careful not to shake the tube with the shampoo, or it might spray all over the bathroom! That happened to me once, and I ended up cleaning the walls and floor.
Interestingly, the shampoo seems to slightly mask gray hair, probably because of the herbs in it. This might be good for some people, but not for me. I have caramel blonde hair with distinct highlights, and with each use, the highlights faded and turned yellowish, which I didn’t like. However, my scalp doesn’t itch at all after using this shampoo, and my hair and skin become less greasy. Overall, it feels very pleasant. It even seems like my hair is growing better and falling out less. There’s definitely a strengthening effect, likely due to the amla in the shampoo.
I really liked this shampoo. It lathers well with just two applications. I apply it on my hands and then transfer it to my hair. The next day, my hair is not as greasy as it usually is with other shampoos.
