Maurer & Wirtz 4711 Acqua Colonia Saffron & Iris Eau de Cologne

I don't smell any cosmetics or powder in this. However, the lilac scent is overpoweringly powdery. On the other hand, the iris scent is fresh, vibrant, very subtle, and pleasant. I won't be buying it, but it is quite decent and intriguing.

I purchased the 50ml size with EU delivery. I am a fan of this line of cologne. I didn't have Iris before, but now I do. It arrived in a beautiful box, securely packaged, and everything looked lovely. I personally liked the scent, it was pleasant, but the perception of scents is subjective.

I was disappointed as soon as I received it: dusty, stuffy, and unclear. However, after letting it sit and giving it a try, it started to improve every day. Now, I am enjoying it. It is very unique, delicate, and intriguing!

The powder has a delicate and subtle scent with a refreshing touch of saffron. It doesn't last long on the skin, but it may linger on fabric for a longer period.

I ordered this together with the peach cologne from the same series. I liked this one less: the smell is very specific and spicy. At first, it smells like old cosmetics: a heavy powdery scent. After a while, it becomes slightly fresher and more floral, but still not for everyone's taste... It's a pity that there is no miniature version.
