It foams a little and cleanses well. Afterwards, I rinse it off and apply SVR tonic. I have normal to dry skin and a slightly oily T-zone. After cleansing with the gel and tonic, my skin is matte, without any residue, and not overly dry. I use a different cream, not SVR, but they work well together.
