Avene XeraCalm A.D Lipid-Replenishing Cream is part of the unique XeraCalm A.D series, born from 12 years of research on the properties of Avene Thermal Spring Water. This face and body cream is designed to assist dry, eczema-prone skin, as well as to combat the primary symptoms of atopic dermatitis. The innovative formula provides targeted action, helping to address existing issues and prevent their future occurrence.
The product is packaged in a special patented D.E.F.I container that prevents bacteria contamination. It has a light, delicate texture that absorbs quickly without leaving a greasy residue. The carefully crafted formula is free from parabens, emulsifiers, fragrances, and preservatives to ensure absolute safety for users. The special formula is based on thermal spring water, innovative biotechnological components I-modulia, and Cer-Omega. It allows the cream to immediately soothe the skin, hydrate and soften, nourish and strengthen the natural protective barrier of the epidermis, making it less susceptible to external influences.
When I ran out of face cream, I started using this one. It doesn't moisturize or nourish, and in fact, it initially caused new breakouts, so I stopped using it for a couple of months. Then, I gave it a second try, and the cream worked great: it effectively eliminates the unpleasant feeling of tightness and dryness. I suspect that it simply creates a protective film. Nevertheless, I used a whole jar, both on my face and body.
With regular use, I noticed that the itching and redness in areas with dermatitis decreased. Other creams with a richer composition didn't perform as well in this regard.
Does not cause irritation, does not sting, slightly moisturizes. Leaves a sticky film, does not actually absorb, after a couple of uses for the face (combination, dehydrated, chronic dermatitis, and reactive), it caused breakouts, which means it clogs pores easily. Only for nighttime use and only on the body. So far, out of the three Avene products I have tried, I didn't like any of them.
