I have thin, light brown hair in the 7th row. I used to bleach it before. I decided to stop using powder and switch to my natural color. I wanted to slightly lighten my natural color. I used it once a week for a month. Now, my hair looks dirty, rusty-yellow-gray, and unevenly lightened, it's terrible. It looks like I smeared some hydroperoxide in the basement. I decided to dye it with super blonde, but it didn't work at all! Now I don't know what to do, lighten it with powder again, dye it with a reddish color, or just cut it so it grows back faster. Even gypsies don't walk around with this color.
I decided to add my own review, along with a photo. So, I have dark brown hair with about 35-40% gray hair, highlights, and my roots have grown about 10 centimeters. My main desire from the spray was to even out the color of my roots and lengths, and to slightly conceal the gray hair. I was a bit scared because I know that some products can lighten hair with a reddish color, but I decided that if I don't like it, I can always dye it. I used the spray twice, according to the instructions. After the first time, my hair became slightly lighter, about one shade. After the second time, it became closer to a light brown with a warm undertone, but it looks very natural. The gray hair became less noticeable and my roots and lengths almost matched. On one side it's a bit more visible, but there's almost no transition on the other side. The quality of my hair hasn't changed, it's still soft and shiny, but proper care is necessary. I want to take a break and even out the transition between my roots and lengths on the other side. Overall, I'm satisfied. I thought it would be worse. Ladies, if you're not afraid of a warm tone, I definitely recommend trying it. However, if you have ashy hair, I don't recommend it because you'll most likely be disappointed.
This product is my recommendation for light brown-haired girls in winter. And for those who know how to use a brush, it can also create a nice volume. I like the scent, it smells like coconut, just like paint!
A very interesting tool for those who are not in a hurry. I have been using it for a year, and I have only used one bottle so far. My natural hair color is a level 7 tone (chestnut or dark blond), and it is lightened to a level 9. A dark stripe grows out, and I spray it on the roots and then dry it with a hairdryer. It works better when there is sunlight compared to winter. It lifts the color to an 8 level, after around 10 applications, it won't lift it any higher. It gives me a warm shade, which suits me. It was very offensive when I decided to go to a salon, and they did the same thing as the spray, but charged me 6000 UAH, and it still grows out with a clear stripe, while with the spray, there can't be a clear stripe because it is a spray, wherever I spray it, it works and looks natural. The spray itself doesn't smell very pleasant, like chemicals, but it doesn't damage the hair.
I have been using this spray for about 4 months, once a week, and I am satisfied with it. I use it to dye my regrown roots to avoid a strong contrast. It does dry out my hair and scalp a bit, so it is not recommended to use it frequently. It has a strong chemical smell.
After using three bottles of this product, my hair acquired a warm wheat shade, resembling sun-kissed hair. I really like it because I developed an allergy to dye and needed to find something else. It lightens the hair by 2-3 shades without excessively drying it, but if you're looking for a blonde shade, this product may not be suitable for you.
Question for the girls: Could you please tell me if it illuminates the hair to a cold shade or to a yellow/red shade?
While I cannot comment on the effectiveness of the spray yet, it was unpleasant to see the inscription on the packaging that said, "Use according to the instructions," when there was no instruction in Ukrainian language on the packaging itself. I believe that it is necessary to translate and provide the consumer with the manufacturer's instructions for such a product.
I don't know how the girls used this spray, but it didn't have any effect for me. However, from the first time I used it, it brightened up and performed its function.
The top is suitable for light blonde hair, giving a sun-kissed effect. However, I used it very carefully and gradually because it can be drying. Nevertheless, it looks natural, to the point that even hairdressers were surprised and asked me how I achieved the lightening effect. I used it for about a month and a half, taking breaks in between. The scent is strong.
The product arrived well-packaged and I have used it about five times. It has a strong scent, but it disappears after drying. It gives a slightly burnt effect to my dark auburn hair. I will continue using it, hoping for even better results.
After some time has passed, I can confidently say that this spray is absolutely useless. I will now search for more effective products.
I forgot to mention why I deducted a star - the scent. It's a strong, chemically perfumed fragrance. Awful. It's impossible to go outside wearing it.
I bought my fourth bottle of this product. I have been using it for several years now. It is excellent for achieving the effect of sun-bleached hair. However, it is not possible to lighten locks strand by strand in just 1-2 applications. It is also not possible to spray multiple times on the same strand. Unless you want to accidentally spray it on your face). I can't imagine how girls color their hair with this spray all over. I have chestnut hair with a few rare gray strands, and it camouflages them perfectly. I only need to treat my hair with it four times a week. P.S. It says on the bottle to shake well before use. Shake it thoroughly!
The effect is noticeable after 3-4 uses. I have light brown hair, and it has acquired a reddish shade, which looks great in the sun. I spray it on damp hair and immediately dry it. The smell is terrible, but it doesn't linger on the hair if you dry it right away. I recommend using rubber gloves as instructed because I got a burn on my palm when the product accidentally touched my skin. I used similar cream-based products before, but the spray wins in terms of convenience and even application.
I bought this product to maintain the lightened tips of my hair. It does the job well. However, on my uncolored dark chestnut hair, it lightens it. It turned into a milky chocolate color. Be cautious when applying it to other areas of your hair. I like the quality of the product. The scent is average, but perfumed hair sprays cover it up nicely. Also, the scent disappears after an hour outside (if your hair is untangled).
The product does not have any effect on dyed dark hair, and I was hoping for at least a slight lightening...
The spray is a great find for blondes because it allows you to maintain the color of your roots, blending seamlessly with your highlighted hair. After the first application, my medium blonde hair transformed into a caramel shade, with the best and fastest effect under the sun. With each use, my hair gets lighter and the transition to blonde becomes almost unnoticeable. I highly recommend it.
I tried it for the first time. In the morning, I applied it to my chestnut-colored hair, and by evening, I had white hair where I accidentally applied it twice, while only a reddish shade was visible where I applied it once.
When I first bought it, the effect was immediate and very noticeable. However, with each new jar (this is already my fourth), the effect becomes weaker and weaker. I'm not sure what this is related to. I'm disappointed.
I really liked it! I found out about it from reviews, and I used to use Loreal Sunkissed. There are very contradictory reviews about this product, some people liked it, while others said it damaged their hair. I decided to take a risk because all hair lightening options are harmful to them, with any kind of dye, in any salon, and you can only avoid this damage if you take care of your hair. I tried it, and it didn't damage my hair at all! Here's what I did: I washed my hair with regular shampoo, then used a high-quality expensive mask or conditioner, and rinsed it out. I towel-dried my hair and sprayed it with the product, then blow-dried it. Since my hair is dark, I sprayed it again during the process and continued blow-drying. Every other time I washed my hair, I didn't use the lightener, I just used a mask and let it air dry. My hair is long, straight, thick, and very dark brown. The ends were split before and after using the product (just like when I was 12 years old and when my hair was shoulder length), so I just need to trim them. In other words, consider the condition of your hair. If it's in good condition, with proper care, there won't be any damage. If your hair is thin, weak, and prone to breakage from lighteners, then this product is not suitable. The shade you achieve also depends on your hair color, but in any case, it will become warmer due to the removal of pigment. If you are going for a blonde look, I think you can just use products for blondes to counteract any yellowing, as they are needed for blonde hair even when using hair dye.
"The hair lightening spray works, but afterwards the only option is to cut them. It completely destroys the hair structure. Hair killer."
The hair lightening spray does lighten hair, BUT! It also dries it out, causing the hair to become thinner and needing to cut off about 4 centimeters, if not more. My hair is thin, but soft and naturally brown. After using it twice, my hair noticeably became thinner, weakened, dry, and split, even though I always use professional heat protection. Now I have to do hair masks twice a week just to somewhat restore them, but I had to trim the dried and split ends. I can't recommend it, as it does fulfill its purpose, but I also can't recommend it, as it severely damages the hair. It's up to you to decide.
Excellent product!!! A replacement for Sunkiss by L'Oreal. I took a long time to choose... I wanted to get John Frieda, but it wasn't available, so I decided to try this one. It lightened my light-brown hair better than Sunkiss. Joana applies in large areas, like after dyeing, because it needs to be sprayed. Sunkiss, due to its gel-like consistency, applied in strands. I think if you apply Joana on your palm and then run it through your hair, you will achieve a streak effect. I didn't bother and just sprayed it all over my head.
LIFE HACK
To prevent hair from drying out and breaking from these lightening products (mine get terribly split and break if not nourished, plus they are thin and porous and frizz in humidity), apply leave-in nourishing creams (preferably heat protectants) to damp hair + crystals or serums. Everyone uses what they prefer... I use a leave-in heat protectant from PHYTO with keratin + Echosline F 1-2 crystals. In general, something for nourishment and shine. And confidently spray the spray after these manipulations. Your hair will thank you.
I have light brown porous hair with highlights on the lower third of my hair. I wanted to add some shine. I used this product in small amounts on strands near the roots and then combed through. I saw results on the second try. I blow-dried my hair, but the effect was more noticeable after going to the beach. The spray does lighten the hair, but it can't be compared to the work of a professional, and instead of beautifully sun-kissed strands, you can end up with something mediocre. Overall, on the fourth try, I decided to apply the product on flexible rollers and blow-dry them. That worked better, and I got some "sunny" highlights in the right places. Maybe I'll try it with rollers one more time, but I'll stop these experiments and go to a professional instead. However, it is a good product for blondes. It's really convenient for lightening the roots.
Delivery was excellent, I am completely satisfied with it.
Not a bad spray. Lightened on the first try. My natural color is dark brown, and there are some light strands left from highlighting. The color turned out with a reddish tint, but it looks good. The lightened strands became blonde. I will see what happens after the second application. The hair has become a bit stiff, but I think masks will fix everything.
I am very satisfied with this product. Thank you so much for the fast delivery.
The brightening effect is definitely there. Especially now during sunny times, I can easily come out of the darkness.
This is an excellent product that effectively lightens the hair. I highly recommend it.
After using it four times, it did lighten my hair, although maybe just a little bit, about one shade. It does tend to damage my hair, but with the help of hair masks, I can tolerate it.
The spray really lightens the hair. I get the best effect when applying it to washed hair, towel dried. Comb through and blow dry after 5-10 minutes. I applied it to regrown roots and with dark brown hair, after 3-4 uses, I achieved a copper tone. I don't apply it to the ends, and it doesn't dry out the roots if I use a hair mask during shampooing.
The only thing I don't like is the horrible smell, like it was sprayed with chlorine, and it takes a long time to dissipate. For this reason, I deduct a star, but I still recommend the spray!
The spray indeed lightens hair, but on light brown and medium-brown hair it reveals an unpleasant reddish tint. No toning shampoo, conditioner, or tonic can remove this pigment.
I decided to try this product as an experiment, and oh my goodness... it worked! This product is amazing, a great alternative to coloring "grown-out roots". See the results for yourself, the effect after 4 applications on my dark brown hair.
It works on Russian hair.
I have received it. I haven't tried it yet, but thank you, make up, for the home delivery!
This is a really cool thing! Now the effect of sun-kissed hair is available in winter and only takes 5 minutes))
The spray is excellent! Like many others, I came in search of a replacement for L'Oreal Sunkiss, and I can say that this spray is a wonderful substitute that gets the job done. I have dark hair, and after using it three times, my hair went from a dark (undefined, almost black) color to a dark chestnut, which makes me incredibly happy. I dried it with a hairdryer after applying the spray. I noticed that the spray dries out the ends, but in my opinion, no more than after styling. With proper care and application, everything should be fine :)
Amazing spray without exaggeration. Let me share my short story: naturally, I have light, thin hair that gradually darkened over time. I always wanted to have noticeably light hair, but I was afraid to dye it as it is not recommended for my thin hair. And then I came across this miracle, honestly, I didn't even know that there were lightening sprays that don't harm the hair. And this miracle spray really lightened my hair, noticeable lightening after just three applications. In addition to that, I use a toning shampoo, and the color comes out noble and beautiful, without any cheapness or yellowing. It doesn't dry out my hair, naturally, I have oily hair type, and I also use hair masks, so my hair is well-nourished and not dry. In a word, I highly recommend it!
This product lightens the hair. It lightened my hair after using henna, it dries it out a bit, but that's understandable because there is hydrogen peroxide in it.
It's a tinting hack, you just spray it on the hair and blow dry it a little. Mix the hair mask with a few drops of toner or dye of a suitable color, about 10 grams, and apply it to the hair for 20 minutes. It provides perfect toning and doesn't fade quickly.
This product has been my savior during breaks between dyeing my hair (to prevent noticeable color differences between the roots and the lengths). If I don't tone my hair, the brown strands tend to appear yellowish-orange, just like with any other lightening product. The effect of smoothing and evening out the hair color lasts until the next wash.
I am completely satisfied. It started to noticeably lighten after about three weeks. My hair did not dry out as mentioned before. Maybe it's because I use a hair oil from L'Oreal. I will attach a "before" and "after" photo.
Besides having straw-like hair, I didn't experience any other effects. My hair didn't fall out, so I'm thankful for that. However, now I'll have to go through a long and painful restoration process. So, I suggest you think a hundred times before spraying your hair with this.
This is a great thing, especially during quarantine. In just one application, it lightened my hair by several tones. I sprayed it on my grown-out roots, which were about 5 centimeters long. The consistency is watery, but it spread evenly. Of course, it turned slightly warm-toned, but that's expected since it's a lightening product. It doesn't show immediately; it starts to show after a couple of hours and continues to develop over the course of a day. I'll try spraying it again in a week. The smell is pleasant, like coconut.
I have been using this product for over a year, with a frequency of 1-2 times per month. The spray truly helps to lighten the hair beautifully, but there is one significant drawback - after using it, the hair breaks easily at the roots (where I applied it).
I also bought it as a replacement for Loreal. The smell is disgusting and nauseating to me. I ended up throwing away half of the jar. At least it wasn't expensive.
I liked the product. It beautifully lightens my brown hair, but it does so slowly and without the reddish-golden tint that naturally exists in my hair. It does not excessively dry out my hair.
I thought it would be worse, but overall, it's not bad. Plus, the home delivery is free and super convenient.
I have only used it three times. The tone has become slightly lighter, but a noticeable reddish shade has appeared. For those who have a warm pigment predominance and struggle with it, pay attention to this. In the reviews below, some girls also mentioned experiencing this effect.
It significantly dries out the hair, but considering its purpose, that is to be expected. Make sure to stock up on a quality nourishing mask.
Uniform lightening will only occur on hair that is of a consistent color. It should either be fully dyed or not dyed at all. In my case, the main body of hair is dyed, but the roots have already grown out, so the effect is not as intense on my natural hair, and the reddish shade appears there faster. There is nothing surprising about this, I just wanted to clarify in case someone overlooks this aspect when making a purchase and then gets disappointed.
I purchased this spray. I sprayed it on dry hair and didn't see any results at all...
I have dark brown hair. Is it possible to lighten it with this spray? How should I use it?
It really lightens and looks natural. However, the smell is terrible. It also dries out the hair, especially my porous ones.
This spray is amazing! My hair came to life, becoming brighter and more vibrant. The scent is somewhat specific, but it's worth it. I highly recommend it!
This is my first time purchasing this product, and I will definitely be ordering it again! The quality is excellent, and it effectively achieves its intended purpose. I have noticed a significant lightening of my hair from the very first use.
Great! I'm buying it for the second time. It tints brown hair perfectly. At first, there was a dryness effect, but then when you dye the roots and use it for shine along the length, everything is fine. My hair has already gotten used to it. It gives a beautiful color with sunlit highlights. The scent dissipates halfway through the day, which is tolerable. The hair color is beautiful, and I receive compliments. I highly recommend it. The product is excellent. Thank you, Makeup, for the fast delivery.
I really liked this spray! The lightening effect is really noticeable. I apply it to almost dry hair and then blow-dry. It's really cool. I'm a natural blonde, but in winter my hair gets dull, and this spray made them really beautiful!
Great product, here's why!
I am an eternal hair experimenter, and lightening my hair is an essential part of my life.
Considering that I am a brunette, this product works wonders and gradually achieves its mission, overall, it's a super product!
However, my hair does feel dry after using it.
I liked it, it lightens well! I was looking for an alternative to "sankis" and this is exactly what I needed. It is perfect for light-brown hair to give them a little transformation. However, the smell is awful. It smells like chlorine and something else unpleasant. It fades away in about 4-5 hours. If applied overnight, everything is fine. I didn't notice any damage to my hair, after 3 uses with a break of a couple of days - my hair is still fine. Thank you, Makeup, for the delivery and service!
The product has a golden-brown shade. It does dry out the hair a little, but if you use it with a break of a month or a month and a half, while doing hair masks, everything is fine. There is a smell, especially after blow-drying, but it's not as strong the next day, tolerable considering the effect. It tones down gray hair on brown hair, which is very helpful. I am satisfied!
Bright, but it gave my cool-toned blonde hair that intense cheap yellow shade, which I definitely didn't want to see on myself. I tried to wash out the yellow with blue shampoos. I washed it out. I lowered the rating because I was expecting it to lighten my natural color, not dye it warm. Suitable for people who want a warm undertone.
I really liked it. It lightened my natural ash hair as if they had been sun-kissed. It only took three uses. Since I have oily hair, it's a plus for me that it also dries them out. The only downside is the unpleasant smell.
