I generally don't like solid soaps, but I bought this one because it was necessary, and it surprised me. It smells like roses, cleanses excellently, doesn't dry out or tighten the skin, leaving it velvety smooth. It even works just as well as foams for washing my face. My skin feels smooth and fresh, with no breakouts. Plus, it doesn't melt at all when it's sitting on the shelf in the shower! After trying two other soaps after this one, I realized they were completely different. It immediately reminded me why I didn't like solid soaps.
