Hair Straightener Remington S6505 Pro-Sleek & Curl

I didn't purchase it here, but I wanted to leave a review for anyone considering a straightener from this brand. I've been using it for two months. My hair is long, reaching my waist, slightly wavy at the ends, and of medium thickness.

Pros:
- Heats up instantly
- The illuminated display is very convenient
- Has a button lock feature to prevent accidental changes during use
- Doesn't snag or tear hair
- Comes with a thermal cover (thin, felt-like material), which is handy for storing even when the straightener is still hot
- Doesn't cause static, despite lacking an ionization feature

Cons:
- This model doesn't have a heat-insulated tip; the entire body, including the tip, gets noticeably hot after 10 minutes or more of use. At 200 degrees or higher, it's easy to burn your fingers
- Every time it heats up, there’s a strong smell like damp plastic
- The plates don't align tightly when pressed together; there’s a small gap near the display side (this doesn't affect its performance on hair, but it's noticeable upon inspection—I wish I had noticed this sooner)
- The cord feels "stiff," it's thin and not very flexible
- Lacks ionization and floating plates
- Can't curl long hair effectively; works best for hair up to shoulder length

Overall, if I were to choose a straightener now, I’d probably go for a different model like the S5505 or S6500, as they have similar features but are significantly cheaper. I didn't find any standout features in this model that justify the extra cost. It does straighten hair well, and for that, I’m grateful, but nothing more. Also, in real life, it isn't black but a very dark brown with light inserts.

It's an average product, but for the price, it's a good option. I bought it solely for curling since I have straight and smooth hair.

Pros: Heats up quickly, the cord doesn't get tangled, and it creates nice curls without any creases.
Cons: While using it, the temperature control buttons get accidentally pressed, causing the temperature to change at the slightest touch. This might not be an issue for those who curl their hair more carefully, but it really annoys me. If I were choosing a tool for straightening hair, I would go for a different model.

It features a very smooth coating, a digital temperature display, button lock, and a heat boost function that allows you to reach the maximum temperature with just one press. I definitely recommend it.
