Perfumery creations of famous jewelers are very recognizable. Even their bottles look more like jewels! Such a masterpiece was released by the famous French jewelry house Reminiscence in 1970. Even though quite a lot of time has passed since then, and fashion does not stand still, this oriental-woody fragrance has not lost its subtle charm.
The olfactory pyramid of Reminiscence Patchouli Eau de Parfum:
Top notes open the composition with the combination of cedar wood, sweetish sandalwood sticks, and earthy bitter patchouli.
Heart notes follow an intriguing intro with oriental accents of vanilla, tonka bean, French labdanum, and smoky dry vetiver.
Base notes create a long-lasting trail that gives the perfume's owner a unique irresistible appeal, merging the depth of Tolu balsam and white musk.
In my understanding, this is exactly how French perfumes should smell! At first, the scent seems simply pleasant, like dry wood soaked in spicy cognac. But then the aroma envelops you and you constantly want to inhale it! It is not intrusive but easily noticeable. I really want to smell like this when going to the theater. Evening, classic, aristocratic, not screaming, just luxurious!
I love patchouli. The patchouli here is raw and naturalistic. However, on me, it doesn't smell like patchouli, but like powder. I can hardly detect the patchouli. From the beginning to the end, there is a lot of sweet powder. In short, for me, this is a story not about patchouli, but about powder. Long-lasting.
I ordered 100ml from the EU without testing it first, and I had doubts about its quality. However, when I saw the design of the bottle, I immediately knew that there would definitely be an extraordinary scent inside! And I was not mistaken. Thank God, there is no hint of floral notes. The fragrance is beautiful, it doesn't even feel like it's from 1970... It hasn't lost its relevance.
The scent is simply amazing! It doesn't go unnoticed. People ask what perfume it is. The longevity is incredible. The price is affordable. I'm ordering it for the second time already. But I'm a patchouli addict.
This is my purchase without testing, but I love patchouli in perfumes, so I was confident that I would like it. I am simply amazed - I never thought that a monochrome scent would unfold with such multifaceted colors! Truly niche sound, it is definitely not for everyone, so I recommend testing it.
I removed the mica from the box and... the whole room smelled like patchouli. I decided to take a little risk and apply it on myself. The fragrance is rich, very intense, and long-lasting. I'm not sure if I will wear it in public, it's quite specific, but I personally like it! On my skin, it doesn't smell like chocolate, rather it has a mossy and slightly bitter sweet dusty scent. Over time, the fragrance becomes softer, more delicate, and the sweetness becomes more prominent.
Excellent! Thick, smooth. In the end, it reminds me a lot of Lutens Sultan. Thank you for the pleasure.
I am a patchouli addict, so I immediately grabbed a 200ml bottle. I must say, I am satisfied with this purchase. The scent is really pleasing. The patchouli notes are rich and velvety, with a moderate sweetness. The fragrance has a modern feel to it, not retro.
The bottle is impressive - the glass is thick and smooth, and the cap is metallic. Everything is made with great craftsmanship.
RICH AND DENSE. LIKE HEAVY BLACK SOIL WITH PEAT. VERY WELL-BALANCED. CAN ALSO BE WORN BY MEN. BOUGHT IT BLINDLY AND I'M ENJOYING IT. THE BOTTLE IS HEAVY, THE FRAGRANCE HAS A DARK BRANDY COLOR. THE CAP IS ALSO HEAVY. VERY GOOD!
