This eau de parfum is inspired by the renowned Puccini opera "Madame Butterfly" and is dedicated to the son of the main character. It awakens the finest qualities in men—determination, nobility, prudence, and willpower. The fragrance composition exudes masculinity, grandeur, and nobility, making it ideal for a gentleman who always maintains control over his feelings and emotions, even when a storm rages within. Such a gentleman will open his heart only to his beloved and one true lady.
The fragrance bouquet is unveiled with spicy notes of black and pink pepper, enduring hints of nutmeg, elemi, and geranium, and culminates in the sophisticated woody and resinous accords of patchouli, Virginian cedar, vetiver, musk, incense, and tonka bean.
The eau de parfum is housed in a bottle shaped like a white crystal. It is topped with a gilded cap adorned with a white opal from the famous Swarovski crystal, accentuating the dignity, nobility, grandeur, and strength of a fearless knight.
The fragrance, like all those from Christopher Chong's era, is simply incredible. Instead of listing the notes, it's best to experience it for yourself. It's one of the few scents that needs to settle for at least a month after purchase. Otherwise, it might seem quiet and fleeting, but rest assured, it's not. This fragrance isn't for everyone, but I personally feel it can be worn by women too. I wouldn't recommend buying it blind, just like any Amouage fragrance.
The fragrance unfolds intriguingly after about 30 minutes.
Not for everyone, this fragrance is heavily dominated by sandalwood and amber. It resembles more of a home air freshener rather than a personal fragrance. There is something quite repelling about it.
Oh, how beautifully written for the feminine soul! It makes me want to buy this perfume for my loved one, so that they can open their warm heart even wider! I want to compare Honor and Interlude. I will definitely make a purchase!
