The rubber bands are good, but they are very tight. The diameter doesn't allow you to wear them on your hand even for a short time. But I think they will be suitable for a child.
I don't use the "spring" hair ties at all because they always slip off right away. But these ones hold perfectly, they fit well in terms of diameter (they don't look obtrusive), and they have a great grip strength.
I used to buy the same brown ones before, and everything was great. But unfortunately, I wasn't so lucky with the black ones. I managed to tear two pairs on the very first day.
