The legendary Maurer & Wirtz Tabac Original Eau de Toilette perfectly emphasizes the sophisticated style of men who lead an active lifestyle. A man with such a scent always looks on top and is confident in himself and his choice. It reveals an exquisite pipe tobacco aroma, the quality of which only true connoisseurs can understand.
The olfactory pyramid of Maurer & Wirtz Tabac Original Eau de Toilette:
Top notes open the composition with an aroma of petitgrain, accompanied by pepper, neroli, bergamot, and lemon shades.
Heart notes unfold luxurious motifs of oak wood, chamomile, geranium, and lavender.
Base notes leave a long-lasting trail, blending warm ambergris, elegant cloves, powdery musk, smoky sandalwood, and earthy vetiver.
The fragrance Tabac embodies the essence of classic European perfumes, commonly referred to as retro or "grandfather's scent". It reminded me of the Italian Capucci for men, although it is unfortunately not available on the website, or the Boxing cologne by Dzintars.
It has a robust cologne-like scent, which is pleasantly balanced by subtle floral notes. However, I was disappointed by the longevity of the fragrance, as it fades quickly even when applied to clothing.
A nostalgic scent for mature men. It can feel suffocating in warm weather, so it is better suited for cool evenings and cold seasons. Apply sparingly. The fragrance reminds me a lot of Cerruti 1881 pour homme, but with a slightly more refined tone. The delivery was fast, although the number on the box does not match the number on the bottle. As far as I know, the four digits should match on both.
