Proper and regular breastfeeding is crucial for the health of both the infant and the mother. The production of milk in a woman's breasts is dependent on how often the baby is breastfed. The World Health Organization recommends continuing breastfeeding up to 2 years to ensure that the child's body has time to strengthen and develop the necessary immunity.
It is therefore very important for women to ensure that their mammary glands produce enough milk to prevent lactostasis, or milk stagnation. Weleda Stillol lactation oil, made from natural ingredients, is designed to assist women in this regard.
Using this oil for breast massage in nursing mothers enhances blood flow to the mammary glands, relieves tension, and helps generate an adequate supply of milk. The massage oil does not contain any substances that could negatively affect the baby's appetite or alter the taste and nutritional properties of the milk.
Ingredients include almond oil and a blend of natural essential oils (fennel, marjoram, cumin).

During pregnancy (38 weeks): Apply the oil with gentle, stroking motions. It is recommended to warm it in your hands before use.
After childbirth: Avoid swelling and hardening of the breasts during the transition from colostrum to milk production.
Apply the oil to the breast skin every 3-5 hours and perform a smoothing massage from the areola along the milk ducts, avoiding the nipple and areola. It is more convenient to do this lying on your back between feedings, when you feel tension and heaviness in the breasts, to prevent and relieve engorgement and milk stasis.
The oil does not penetrate into the milk. This natural, safe oil, rich in vitamins and trace elements, will help the mother maintain the shape and firmness of her breasts.
