Ammonia-free Color - Kaaral Baco Soft Color
I have always bought this paint, but in the old silver packaging. The quality was excellent. I bought 2 updated packages in color 5.66. It's terrible!!! It took forever to wash my hair, and it washed off while doing so. Both the towel and pillowcase ended up vibrant with color.
The hair was excessively dried out by using this product with a 3% oxidant.
I want to leave a review after six months of use. I initially bought the paint for myself, but now I also use it to dye several girls' hair.
Before, I used Estel, a budget-friendly ammonia-free hair dye. But Kaaral is much better.
- It colors gently.
- The paint has smaller molecules, making it more long-lasting.
- It works well with low volumes of developer, which is important for fine and weak hair.
It's great that there are finally enough shades of this dye in the makeup market, and the range is maintained.
If only they could also offer delivery at a chosen time, I wouldn't switch to any other brand for makeup.
The ammonia one is much better than this one. I tried a 6% developer, but it didn't color anything and left my hair dry. However, after using the ammonia one, my hair became super shiny and soft!
It's funny to read reviews. Professional dye requires professionals to work with it. For home use, it's better to go to a supermarket and buy dye there. Simply reading the instructions is not enough to achieve the correct and long-lasting result. It is important to have knowledge of color theory.
I used shade 10.0 (platinum blonde) on previously lightened hair with powder, balayage on my natural 7-tone hair. I applied the dye in a 1:1 ratio with a 3% developer and left it on for 25 minutes on the entire length, including the roots. I chose this ratio because my lightened hair wouldn't withstand the recommended 6% as stated in the instructions. The 1:2 ratio on a 3% developer didn't work at all on a test strand.
With my ratio, the dye lifts the color of the natural roots by about two shades. The result is that the hair near the roots turns yellow. There is no platinum color at all. However, the hair along the length is a pure white tone. Although platinum should have given a slight ash tone. But it didn't.
If I were to do it again, I would choose shade 9 with an ash tone for my brown roots. Alternatively, I would use the ash corrector for this dye and add it to the mixture. Otherwise, you'll end up like me, searching for additional toning options.
I know that what I did was not technically correct, but my situation required it. The color may not be perfect, but it turned out fairly even, and I'll tone it with something ash or pink later. I'm leaving this review specifically for girls who, like me, are looking for ammonia-free dye for toning after using powder.
Pros:
The dye doesn't have any smell at all. The hair retains its shine, but it did become slightly dry. Add some HEC, and it won't be as dry.
The smell is pleasant, there is no suffocating ammonia, which other low-ammonia dyes are guilty of. But unfortunately, I didn't like the color. I chose shade 7. It turned out to have a copper tint, but that's not the fault of the dye, as I am not a professional. I deducted points for the fact that it doesn't mix well and despite applying oil, it stained the skin near the hairline.
I used it to dye my roots with a 6% developer. I have 40% gray hair. It covered it all! And it didn't fade after a month of intense hair washing. It didn't have any negative impact on the quality of my hair. I also used a little bit for toning the length (with toner 02 and 3% developer). It stays perfect and the color is beautiful. This is an excellent dye.
This product didn't work as expected. The roots didn't take the color properly, even though I used a 3% developer. Next time, I will try using a 6% developer when dyeing my hair.
This paint is very good. I have been using it exclusively for a long time, shade 7.6 Red Blonde. I am tired of answering questions from friends and hairdressers about how I achieve such a beautiful and vibrant color, and that too, in the comfort of my own home!
The paint is terrible. I bought (but not here) a blue-black one.
It's a nightmare! Not only did it wash out within a week and the gray hair became visible again, but it also sheds excessively. When washing my hair, the water turns blue, and the towel becomes blue too. It's summertime now, and my head sweats at night, causing the pillowcase to get completely stained.
I even stained my sweater on the back.
This hair dye provides a rich shade to the hair. It effectively covers 40-50% of gray hair. After using it, the hair looks well-groomed and healthy. If you have a lot of gray hair, do not be tempted by this dye as it will only cover about 40% of it.
Product Review: Shade 6.10.
I chose shade 6.10, hoping for a cool tone, just as I desired. However, it turned out to be a bit too dark for my liking. Hopefully, it will wash out after a couple of rinses. It did manage to dry the ends of my hair, but I'll have to reconsider whether to repurchase it next time.
I have 100% gray hair, and I used a hair dye that covered it completely, going above and beyond with a 150% coverage. My hair is in excellent condition after coloring. I highly recommend it.
Are you interested in the 1.0 black variant? Is it available in the assortment?
Could you please tell me if it says here that I need to mix in a ratio of 1:2, which means one part of the paint and two parts of the developer?
I really liked the paint, and so did my daughter. We have been using it for the second year now.
This paint is great and lasts a long time. The only question is, which developer is better to mix it with? 3%?
The paint is excellent. The color lasted for a long time. I only have one question, which developer is better to use with it? 3%?
Excellent paint!! I have been buying it repeatedly and I am satisfied.
