They used to be great, the best, and I always chose them because they had a sturdy plastic stick that didn't bend. But now, it's just awful; they've replaced the plastic stick with a paper one, and it's impossible to use. It bends like paper with the slightest touch. I don't think this change was truly for environmental protection; it seems like a cost-cutting measure to save on materials. Unfortunately, many manufacturers are doing the same thing now, so I'm forced to find alternatives for many products I've enjoyed for years due to their "savings" at the expense of quality.
The quality used to be excellent, and I didn't even consider other options. Now, however, it's terrible. The sticks bend easily, which never happened before, and unfortunately, the cotton winding has become much worse.
