The first time I used the cream, it surprised me with a strong reaction on my skin. My face turned red and started to sting unbearably, so I had to wash it off. Since the cream is not cheap, I couldn't bring myself to throw the jar away. The next day, I tested the cream on the inner side of my elbow, and there was no reaction. Then I analyzed the difference and realized that I had removed my makeup with micellar water before applying the cream. After rinsing my face with regular water and drying it with a clean towel, I realized that the residue of the micellar water might have caused a reaction with the cream. Now I use the cream as if everything is fine. I replaced Vichy micellar water with another makeup remover.
