Bois Noir by Robert Piguet is an exceptionally deep and expressive fragrance that suits both men and women. These warm, rich perfumes with woody and resinous notes emphasize the naturalness and ease of their wearer, devoid of any hint of vulgarity or pretense.
Bois Noir is an incredibly multi-faceted fragrance, telling a unique story to each individual. These cozy perfumes evoke the warmth of a campfire night: the heat of the flames, the scent of smoke, and a rich woody accord.
The introduction to Bois Noir begins with guaiac wood and white cedar. At the heart of the fragrance are delicate, alluring patchouli and exquisite oriental sandalwood. Musk, labdanum, and resins play in the final notes, giving the fragrance a deep, rich, and lingering finish.
Yes... A fragrance that you need to get used to, that you need to let air out. In other words, you need to get used to the first hour of its scent, then comes a pleasant base, and both guaiac wood and cedar are noticeable all the time. I struggled for a long time to figure out what the perfume smells like immediately after application... Then I remembered: an old abandoned railway line in the forest, heated by the summer sun, impregnated with creosote (which, by the way, includes products from the distillation of guaiac resin) wooden sleepers, from under which spicy forest grass breaks through. The beginning is sharp, even slightly shocking, but it is this combination of initial notes, heart, and base that, in my opinion, makes the fragrance complete and expresses its philosophy. An example of perfumery art, not the perfume industry. I like it!
Gorgeous scent!!! Rich, intense, resinous. Truly the fragrance of a dense, coniferous, resinous, aromatic, nocturnal, cedar forest. Bought it without testing. Took a risk and didn't regret it. Very satisfied.
