The face wash is extremely drying! I already have fairly dry skin on my face, so I didn't feel a drop of moisturizing effect. I used it for a month, thinking that maybe my skin needed to adjust to the new gel, but no! The effect is terrible! It dries and tightens.

The gel itself has a less dense consistency than Cerave and doesn't lather as well. However, it fulfills its main purpose well: it doesn't dry out the skin, doesn't cause breakouts, and is very comfortable for my sensitive combination skin. It also has a convenient dispenser. In conclusion, this product is quite decent. If you can get used to the fragrance, I would repurchase it, although the likelihood of doing so is not very high.
