On the makeup.ua website, there are four separate pages for each release of Dior Homme Sport: 2008, 2012, 2017, and 2021. I kindly ask makeup.ua not to mislead people into thinking that they can still buy the old versions of the fragrance because I received the 2021 version. However, I still decided to get it because I had been eyeing this release for a while.
Now let's talk about the scent of the 2021 (2022) edition. I haven't smelled the original 2008 version, but based on the pyramid, I can assume that the new Sport is as close as possible to the first version. At the opening, there are fresh citruses with aldehydic notes, which transition into elemi after 10-20 minutes. By adding elemi resin to the formula, François Demachy solved two problems: he increased the longevity of the fragrance and added an elegant touch to the citrus freshness, which won't suffocate in the heat. Essentially, you should consider this fragrance as a fresher and lighter version of Dior Homme 2020 (which is essentially true, just look at the cap and compare).
In the end, this is a fresh and elegant fragrance with good longevity and sillage. I recommend it.
