The scent... is definitely an acquired taste, but let's just say it's tolerable - something like a mix of Soviet-style and respectable. If you have issues with irritation during shaving, you can confidently go for it, but there might be some nuances to consider, or you can use a moisturizing cream from another brand after shaving - no complaints there, everything is simply excellent.
