The brand's history

Founded in 1910, the small manufacture was producing gloves. Due to the high quality and design, these products from Bergamo have found a growing demand among the locals. The brand's clients were wealthy people from different parts of Italy. After 60 years, the family business was taken over by Nicola Trussardi. He launched a fashionable line of leather bags, luggage, and shoes.

The designer began producing classic perfumes in 1980. By that time, the fashion house had conquered Italy and began a triumphant march across other countries. New perfumes combined aristocracy and ardent disposition in one bottle.

Coming up with the olfactory pyramids, Nikola was inspired by the architectural masterpieces of the Renaissance, cosy coffee shops in the town of Bergamo, located 50 km from Milan. He made a portrait of a hound in a striped tie as the company's symbol, hinting at the nobility and refinement of the products.

The debut fragrance was named after its creator, and the perfume that followed was given the prefix Uomo to its original name. The manufacturer used phenomenally stable, high-quality ingredients for his masterpieces but simple, unpretentious packaging, which made it possible to reduce prices for goods.

Soon, fragrances for brutal men received a new look – their lightweight youth versions were developed. The bestseller was the composition Action, which won the prestigious Fragrance Foundation Award. In the mid-90s, the line was supplemented with special L'Uomo products with marine chords and the famous Donna Trussardi aromatic water for businesswomen.

In 1999, the brand's founder died in a car accident, and the company passed to his children – Beatrice and Francesco. They presented hypnotically sensual novelties: Python, Fresh, Skin.

After the tragic death of her brother, Beatrice became the head of the family business. She managed to create a new collection of intense aromatic liquids, imbued with an atmosphere of Italian luxury and bliss.
