High Coverage Foundation - Dermacol Make-Up Cover
Good day, please help me choose a foundation.
I didn't buy it here, but maybe someone will find this review useful. I've been wanting to try this foundation for a long time, as it is very dense and has excellent coverage. I tried the tester, shade 210 matched me perfectly, it is the most neutral and natural shade without any yellow undertones. Other shades have a slightly yellowish undertone. I bought it to cover up my dark circles, which unfortunately I have due to genetics. Using it all over my face would create a mask effect, as it is very thick. However, it works amazingly well for concealing redness, pimples, and bruises. It is also great for professional use, such as photoshoots, weddings, and evening makeup. But it's better to try it on before purchasing. In my opinion, shade 210 is the most popular and will suit many people.
I use this product exclusively as a concealer, and it does a great job covering up dark circles and blemishes. However, I wouldn't recommend applying it all over the face.
I use it for professional ballroom makeup. It fits perfectly and completely masks everything. It's convenient to take two shades and mix them.
I will give this product two stars only because it does provide coverage. However, it covers everything. The face becomes completely flat, without any relief. There is a lot of pigment in the cream itself, but it doesn't adapt to the skin at all. The pigment is flat, giving the impression that the cream formula was made 50-70 years ago, not now. Modern foundations lay differently. This is simply a mask that covers the entire face. The cream is thick and definitely clogs pores. It can be felt on the skin. I wouldn't risk wearing it on the entire face, maybe just use it to spot conceal occasionally. I bought it to cover pigmentation. It only covers brown freckles from the second or third layer, and it is very noticeable on the face. It doesn't look nice or natural. I ordered it for the first time based on good reviews about its coverage ability. It was a waste of money because it is absolutely impossible to wear in real life. The cream might be suitable for photo or video purposes, for one-time use when you have a makeup artist who will paint your face from scratch over this cream, and then you wash off the mask and forget about it. I don't understand where all the great comments come from. It feels as if women haven't used creams with modern textures and pigments that lay nicely on the skin. As for the color, I have fair skin with a very cool undertone - I chose shade 208. It even whitens my skin, even though I always choose the lightest foundation in the lineup. The whitening effect is due to both the pigment and the physical SPF 30 filters, which are especially noticeable in photos. I won't try to find a more suitable color because this cream has completely disappointed me.
I would like to add a comment to my previous review. It seems that Dermakol has changed the packaging of their cream, so this is not a fake, but rather how it looks now. I have attached a photo from their official website.
I bought 2 shades. One of them is definitely original, but I'm not sure about the second one. The first one has a hologram, while the second one doesn't. However, there is a barcode that redirected me to the official Dermacol website. Both of them also have different caps, tubes, and everything else. I have been using it for a long time. This is something I have never seen before.
I previously purchased a counterfeit product from a single-page website. It effectively concealed all redness and acne. However, this cream, which claims to be the "original," although thick in consistency, does not cover ANYTHING. All redness is completely visible and it only lasts for about 3 hours, whereas the counterfeit lasted all day. Money wasted for nothing.
The cream evens out everything, but it clogs pores a lot. After using this cream, a beautician will definitely make money off you.
I purchased the 207 shade based on a previous review with photos. However, it turned out to be too light. When applied to my face, I end up looking like a geisha.
Great cream! I have been using Dermacol foundation for many years. It's a lifesaver. It has great coverage, hiding imperfections and dark circles, and it doesn't cause allergies. The cream is designed for precise application. I have bought it before and will continue to do so. Thank you for the delivery!
Oh no! The smell is terrible... The texture is heavy, and it feels like wearing a mask on the face!
I bought it because I was curious to try it. I want to confidently say that Maybelline is a million times better! At least you don't feel it on your face and it doesn't give the appearance that you have a ton of makeup on your face. Maybelline covers everything beautifully.
I ordered this product for my boyfriend to cover up a tattoo (he needed it for work). The tattoo was hardly visible with it on. It is very dense.
This product did not meet my expectations as it does not cover up pigmentation spots and they start showing after about 15 minutes. It is also quite heavy and greasy, especially if used on the face, making it look like a mask and causing it to slide off. It reminded me of a foundation called "Ballet". Moreover, when used only under the eyes, it tends to crease into wrinkles, which is unfortunate.
Covers everything. Can't be washed off with water. Not for daytime use, not for everyday use, not for mature skin.
Apply to super moisturized skin with a damp sponge, and as mentioned before, mix it with another more liquid foundation that you feel has insufficient coverage. It lasts strongly for three hours. Then - well-covered imperfections on the skin. Very heavy, visible on the face. I have shade 208 - very light, it literally whitens my face. I mix it. For parties and photoshoots.
I chose the lightest shade, 208. It oxidizes slightly on the skin. Overall, I really like the tone because my skin is not heavily problematic, but I have a lot of post-acne marks. It is visible on the skin, so before applying it, you need to exfoliate and moisturize well. However, it starts to get oily quickly, so it needs frequent touch-ups, especially in the summer and on oily/combination skin. The tube becomes unusable over time, I had to throw away the previous one without finishing it. The ingredients are objectively terrible, but I don't see any negative effects on the skin. Overall, the shade is far from perfect, but for its high coverage, cost-effectiveness, suitable shade for me, and fair price, I am willing to forgive all its shortcomings and repurchase it again and again.
The foundation does effectively cover redness and imperfections, but it applies quite roughly. You only need a very small amount of cream because if you take a little more, it looks like a mask. I got shade 207, which is very light, and I mix it with a darker foundation that has a more liquid consistency. Contouring, highlighting, and blush are a must.
I purchased shade 209. The color is suitable for fair skin, no complaints about that. However, the foundation itself does not sit well on my dry skin. It emphasizes dry patches and settles into pores. Perhaps it needs to be applied on a base. Interestingly, it looks fine for the first hour, but then it seems to roll off and the dry patches become visible. It didn't work for me. I tried using a richer moisturizer, like Physiogel, underneath, but the same thing happened.
I was hoping that Shade 223 would be lighter, so I will try to mix it with lighter foundation shades. I'm a bit disappointed.
I bought it today. It turned out to be a horribly greasy ballet with a pleasant scent. I compared it to my original, which is very thick and pigmented, not greasy, and without a pleasant scent! Now I just feel extremely unpleasant!!! Makeup, what should we do?
I didn't buy it here, but it was twice as cheap. They sent me whatever color they had, probably clearing out leftovers. I have large open pores, so I usually use a dense Chanel foundation. However, I didn't even notice a difference with this one. Although, because I got the wrong color, I diluted it by a third with another foundation.
I really like it, it has excellent staying power, provides full coverage, fills in all the pores, and doesn't itch at all, as some people write here. Although, it takes a bit longer to remove with a sponge because of its density.
So, I recommend it for those with smooth oily skin and open pores.
The foundation is simply terrible, even a cheap "ballet" is a hundred times better. It doesn't hide post-acne, it can't even hide a single pimple. It applies horribly on the skin, leaving streaks. I applied a small amount of foundation and still had a caked-on effect on my face. It doesn't let the skin breathe and constantly caused itching. I had to throw it away because it caused breakouts. This foundation is not suitable for everyday use.
The under-eye corrector can be used occasionally, not on a daily basis. However, I'm not impressed and I can't imagine how this foundation can be applied to the entire face. I didn't choose the right shade, it's too light. I didn't purchase it here, but on one of the European websites. Overall, it was a waste of money.
I purchased this foundation elsewhere, but I find it to be mediocre. It doesn't hide flaws well, and it only manages to cover minor redness, but it does a poor job of concealing pimples. Additionally, if the skin is even slightly dry or flaky, it becomes very noticeable when using this foundation.
I bought this product from a major perfume store, not from here. I had dark circles under my eyes that were not easily concealed, so the store recommended this product to me. However, it emphasizes my extremely dry skin. Almost no moisturizing creams help before applying foundation. But once the "peeling period" is over, the cream applies beautifully and covers imperfections. However, it only lasts for about 3-4 hours, so I have to touch up throughout the day. It also doesn't absorb into the skin, so it is not suitable for summer or oily skin (if you run your hand across your face, the cream will stay there). It would be better to try it in person instead of buying it online. I tried using it in the summer, but it turned yellow and left marks everywhere. It works well for the rest of the year. It has a wow-effect as a mask and is great for normal skin. If you have dry skin like me, you need to carefully choose a moisturizing cream to make your skin perfectly soft and smooth. I use an eye cream with olive oil from Ziaja as a base for makeup, and it keeps my face flawless all day. I tried the same cream for the rest of my face, but by evening, the peeling becomes visible again, and the foundation settles into it. Decide for yourself whether to buy it or not. I can't say it's perfect or terrible; it simply doesn't work for everyone.
I purchased shade 211, which comes with a pink undertone. It conceals flawlessly, it's simply phenomenal. However, it's not suitable for everyday use. It's more for photo shoots. Definitely not for oily skin, as it will make you shine like a pancake. It has a tendency to settle into pores. The product lasts a long time as a little pea-sized amount is enough for the entire face. After application, it's as if your face has been photoshopped. But up close, it's very noticeable on the skin, even if applied thinly. It's a great option for photo shoots, provided that you remove the makeup after two to three hours. It also tends to transfer onto everything it touches: clothes, phone, hat. And yes, it's truly waterproof. Water rolls off it, so it's not easy to remove. I wouldn't recommend using it under the eyes, as the cream is very thick and may accentuate wrinkles.
It was a complete nightmare and horror! Perfect for Halloween makeup. I bought this cream to look well-groomed, as there were acne marks. I purchased it here because they supposedly only sell original products. On day X, I applied my usual makeup with this cream, following the instructions - base, pea-sized amount of cream, sponge. The feeling of the mask on my face was terrible, and it emphasized the peeling skin - bingo! After an hour, the cream started clumping and resembled peeled skin!!! I felt terribly ashamed with such a face, and on top of that, the covered flaws became more prominent as well! I interacted with people that day, my job was related to appearance, and the cream ruined everything! Give me my money back!
This cream is my savior. I use it to conceal imperfections on my body. I go swimming in the sea - it holds up, I shower with gel (not too harsh) - it holds up. It is very long-lasting! I adore it!! I haven't tried it as a foundation for my face, but I think it might be a bit heavy. However, for the body, it's perfect! I can't even see where the issues were before.
The makeup, as always, is top-notch! Thank you for the instant delivery and excellent product quality!
I have wanted to try this product for a long time, and luckily I stumbled upon a promotion and bought the shade 208. I have very fair skin, so any redness is very noticeable. Unfortunately, this cream not only didn't match my skin tone, but it also looks like a mask and feels very greasy, emphasizing imperfections. It barely covers pimples and turns orange a few seconds after applying, which is especially noticeable on my light skin. It clogs pores!! Since it's very oily, I have to apply powder on top, but then my face looks terrible. I don't know what to do with the whole tube now, maybe just throw it away. It's a good thing I got it on sale, otherwise it would have been a bigger disappointment.
After reading many reviews about this foundation, I decided to order it. Unfortunately, the cream is oily and does not provide good coverage at night. After just a couple of hours, it starts to roll off, leaving my face shiny and not looking good at all. Save your money and don't waste it on this product.
This is simply a miraculous foundation. I am extremely satisfied with it as it fulfills its purpose perfectly. It gives a professional makeup look, but it is not suitable for everyday use. The texture is very dense, but I still use it as a concealer under my eyes and it covers everything very well. I bought shade 208. To avoid the mask-like effect, sculpting is definitely necessary.
I ordered this foundation at the beginning of December, but I still haven't received it. It seems like Makeup is having some issues. The delivery is delayed, and it's uncertain when it will arrive.
After reading positive reviews and watching videos where this foundation covers tattoos, I wanted to try it for myself. In my opinion, the only advantage of this cream is its design. The foundation is very heavy, it doesn't hide anything, not even the capillary network. It is very noticeable on the face, and literally after half an hour, the face shines like it's covered in grease. I got the shade 207, which is suitable for fair skin.
I will share my experience of using this cream. Firstly, I don't understand how this cream ended up in the category of "tonal cream" as it is more of a concealing product rather than a tonal one. It has minimal consumption, I apply it only after applying a moisturizing cream and then a light tonal cream. After that, I use Dermacol, paying attention to problem areas and blending it well. Personally, I use it to hide freckles and dark circles under my eyes. Then, I apply a moderate amount of powder to eliminate shine on the skin. For girls with dry skin, it is necessary to apply a moisturizing cream beforehand. Dermacol is the best concealing product I have used! But the problem is finding the right shade. I still haven't found the perfect tone. I tried shades 211 and 213, which have a pink undertone. They didn't suit me. I have fair skin with a yellow undertone. Based on reviews, I tried shade 222, which is better, without the pink undertone, but slightly darker. It will be suitable for girls with slightly tanned skin. Next, I tried shade 209, which appears lighter than shade 222 in the picture and without the pink undertone, but unfortunately, in reality, 209 also has a pink undertone. Girls, if anyone has found a shade for fair skin with a yellow undertone instead of a pink one, please let me know the number because I'm tired of guessing, buying, and getting disappointed.
I bought this product online, and it is not at all what they advertise. This Dermacol is complete garbage.
I ordered 221, which is slightly darker. Can I also get a lighter shade to mix it with? Which one should I choose, 208 or 212?
The cream is terrible. It was sent completely different from what they advertise. It's just a regular fake. There's no effect at all. I just wasted my money.
After reading about this "miracle" product and carefully selecting a shade (I have shade 209, which is light with a pink undertone, shade 210 seemed too dark), I had high hopes for an unreal effect. I even bought the Dermacol satin base. But unfortunately, the miracle did not happen. It is very noticeable on the face, emphasizing flakiness and tiny wrinkles. I specifically chose a heavy foundation for special occasions... But alas, I don't even use it as an evening option - it is a very heavy and pointless mask. I don't think it's suitable for problematic skin either. It emphasizes all the flaws on my face. I have tried applying it in every way possible, in the smallest amounts. I thought maybe it didn't "sit" well on me - I tried it on others - the same effect. It emphasizes pores and settles into creases. Without a base, it's even worse... And with a base, it's slightly better but still not right, too noticeable.
I sometimes use it as a concealer for problem areas. I really hope it might work for someone else, but I'm definitely not among those lucky ones. Although its coverage in terms of color is certainly very high. It can easily hide color imperfections (like pigmentation spots, blood vessels). So for people who want to specifically conceal these, it can be used as a concealer, carefully selecting the shade.
But going off topic, I want to mention that their makeup base is an excellent product =) I highly recommend it.
The foundation is simply awful! The effect is worse than in a ballet performance! I got shade 222, which is very dark and reddish, even for my tan skin. I tried applying it in different ways - with a sponge, a brush, and even mixed it with a lighter foundation. It looks like a mask on my face, like I have clay on it. It doesn't hide imperfections at all. I don't understand all the enthusiastic reviews!
Dear Makeup,
Please help me find the right shade. I have combination skin and the Bourjois 123 Perfect foundation in shade 53 suits me perfectly. Thank you in advance for your advice.
Sincerely, [Your Name]
I liked it. It effectively conceals imperfections and redness, but due to its heavy coverage, I don't use it every day.
Thank you very much, everything is always top-notch here. Fast delivery and high-quality product.
The cream is very thick and provides about 50% coverage. I think it might be too heavy for the face - I bought it to cover a birthmark on my leg. Shade 213 is a bit too dark for me, so I can exchange it for shade 211.
I love this cream, this is the second time I have ordered it from this website. I am very satisfied. My cosmetologist recommended this cream to me and told me about its application features - you only need a very small amount and you can use it together with a nourishing cream, then it applies well. It is very economical to use - it lasted me for 25 months. Today I received my order - thanks to makeup, always on top. The delivery was very fast. The expiration date is until 6.2020. Considering how it is consumed, it's just perfect! I must note that this cream is not suitable for everyone. My friend (she has oily and porous skin) didn't like how it applies. I have dry, sensitive, and smooth skin, it effectively conceals spots and unevenness. If you apply too much, it looks like a mask. It is important not to overdo it. I recommend it!
I received my foundation. I ordered shade 210 and it suits me well. I am very satisfied with it as it conceals all imperfections. However, my order arrived without a gift and I had to pay for shipping, even though I didn't select that option during checkout. My first order was for a lower amount but came with a gift and free shipping! This saddened me a little. Thank you for the fast delivery though!
I have been suffering from post-acne. Previously, I used L'Oreal Paris True Match Foundation (shade Rose Vanilla), and it worked perfectly for me! I apply it with precision. The product emphasizes dryness, which is a downside, so I always moisturize my skin before applying it. Other than that, I have no complaints. It comes off easily without much effort.
This is a good foundation, a thin layer is enough to correct problem skin. It hides flaws on my face better than others, doesn't cake in enlarged pores, hardly emphasizes dry patches, and covers inflammations and blemishes. My face doesn't look overloaded with makeup. I remove it with makeup remover milk. I am quite satisfied with this purchase.
I don't even know how to comment on this. Maybe I'm not applying it enough, but even my few freckles on my nose are noticeable after applying the cream, and if I start applying more cream, it becomes very obvious.
Does anyone have swatches of Dermacol Make-Up Cover? I would be grateful!
