Liquid Face Highlighter - MakeUp Revolution Liquid Highlighter
This is a long-lasting highlighter with fine shimmer. If you apply it on foundation and set with powder, it will give a very natural finish. However, you can also apply it with your finger on top of powder, and it won't smudge! It is an excellent product.
I am disappointed with the highlighter. I bought it for a wet finish, but instead, it shines with large sparkles. It feels like I took the cheapest shimmer eyeshadows and applied them as highlighter. I have a dry highlighter from Mary Lou, which is a thousand times better in terms of radiance, it has a noble and delicate glow. This, on the other hand, is just a waste of money.
I slightly missed with the shade - I wanted an even glow, but I got the Champagne shade, which has expectedly small glitters reflecting different colors. It's a fancy shade overall.
As for how to use it - it's quick. It sets very quickly, as is usually the case with similar highlighters.
You can either quickly pat it on with a finger/duo-fiber brush onto clean skin, or mix it with foundation/lotion, etc.
It doesn't work for my foundations (like Laura Mercier, for example), so I can't apply it on top of foundation. It probably depends on the specific foundation, as others mention that it doesn't affect theirs.
This highlighter is excellent. I apply it with a small duo fiber brush. It doesn't "eat away" the tone of my skin. I have the shade luminous gold. It also blends beautifully when applied with fingers.
Well, what can I say... after a week of using it, I don't even know how to apply it to make it look good... under foundation - there are still glitter particles left on top... on foundation - it starts to wear off. In the corner of the eye - it wears off concealer and eyeshadow... maybe it's better to apply it on the collarbone, but it doesn't feel nice on the skin... it feels sticky. I was hoping it would be finely dispersed, but no. As a result, there are a bunch of glitter particles on my face. And I didn't like the smell either.
