At first glance, some might not consider this fragrance to be distinctly masculine, but once Eau Sans Pareil unfolds, you will be astonished by its diverse and rich aroma.
The opening notes of marigold, pineapple, raspberry, cypress, and aldehydes introduce you to the layered and complex composition of Eau Sans Pareil. The pronounced sweetness of raspberry might initially perplex men accustomed to stronger scents, but soon you will experience the heart of the fragrance, which presents a much more restrained bouquet: ylang-ylang, clove, lily of the valley, and licorice root, followed by the final notes of patchouli, amber, benzoin, and vanilla.
The perfume bottle exudes sheer elegance.
Dare to try it - and Eau Sans Pareil by Penhaligon’s will become one of your most unexpected discoveries. New opportunities and horizons await!
I received it and tested it. The scent... reminds me of the Addams family's house. At first, there is something ambery and chypre with hints of raspberry, like a dark space behind it all. Then, masculine notes appear, as if Gomez Addams takes the spotlight, and after a while, the composition softens and becomes powdery - Morticia slowly emerges. An unexpected scent, gothic and old-fashioned, but all in a positive sense.
