During the holiday season, N°5 dons a delicate snowy cloak: hand-applied silk weaving on the top of the bottle and the cabochon cap makes it truly unique. The transparent fabric, crafted by skilled artisans using traditional techniques, adds a sculptural effect to the fragrance's design. This exclusive gift is sure to captivate and delight.
The limited edition N°5 Eau de Parfum comes in packaging featuring an embossed image of the iconic bottle, executed in traditional embossing techniques by a Maître d'Art level master.
The floral-aldehyde character of the Eau de Parfum closely aligns it with the N°5 perfume. The floral bouquet, with rose and jasmine playing the leading roles, is uplifted by refreshing citrus top notes. Aldehydes lend the fragrance a distinctive personality, while soft vanilla extends its sensual trail.
In 1921, Gabrielle Chanel approached Ernest Beaux to create an unusual, exceptional fragrance, "a woman's perfume that smells like a woman." The perfumer presented her with a composition that used aldehydes in a novel way. The great mademoiselle chose option number 5 and decided that this number would become the name of her perfume. For the new fragrance, she selected a radically simple bottle, complemented by a white label and a faceted cabochon stopper. In 1986, Jacques Polge, the perfumer of the House of CHANEL since 1978, reinterpreted his predecessor's composition, creating a fuller version of N°5: the Eau de Parfum.
Apply N°5 Eau de Parfum with a broad, sweeping motion on your skin or the lining of your clothing. Wear the fragrance on your neck like a string of pearls: a drop on the left, a drop on the right, and finally, at the nape of the neck under your hair.
