Hot flashes, night sweats, fatigue, mood swings—these are just some of the symptoms of menopause. Discover how to quickly diagnose this significant phase in your life with our test.
The Menopause Test is a rapid test designed to detect the hormone FSH (Follicle-Stimulating Hormone) in urine at concentrations of 25 mIU/mL or higher. The test is very easy to use: simply add 3 drops of urine to the test window on the test plate and read the results within 3 minutes.
Indications for the test:
- Fatigue;
- Hot flashes;
- Mood changes;
- Discomfort;
- Dry skin;
- Joint pain;
- Reduced libido.Menopause most commonly occurs between the ages of 45 and 55. During this time, the production of estrogen and progesterone decreases, while the levels of LH (Luteinizing Hormone) and FSH increase. The test works by detecting elevated levels of FSH in the urine of women in perimenopause. Menopause is defined as the last menstrual period in a woman's life, after which there are no menstrual cycles for 12 consecutive months. This is a significant event in a woman's life, the date of which can only be identified retrospectively. Symptoms leading up to the final menstrual period can begin 2-3 years earlier and may persist for several years after menopause onset. This entire period is referred to as menopause or the menopausal transition. During the pre-menopausal period and for 12 months following its onset (perimenopause), a significant number of women experience symptoms such as hot flashes, night sweats, dry skin, joint and bone pain, painful intercourse, recurrent urinary tract infections, episodes of urinary incontinence, insomnia, fatigue or depression, irritability, and reduced libido. During menopause, reproductive functions cease as the ovaries stop functioning, leading to reduced production of female sex hormones, predominantly estrogens. At the same time, there is an increase in the production of the follicle-stimulating hormone, FSH, in a woman's body. Determining the level of FSH helps in diagnosing menopause.
