The Baby Boomer is an elegant blend of French manicure and gradient styles. This technique gets its name from the generation of women born between 1946 and the 1960s in the United States, a time when birth rates surged significantly. Women of that era favored a natural nail design with minimal details. This led to the creation of a manicure style that looked as if there was no decorative coating on the nails at all. This look became one of the symbols of that period and, due to the cyclical nature of fashion, has gained tremendous popularity today. With Essence brand press-on nails, you too can effortlessly create this beautiful look in a matter of minutes, all on your own.

Thoroughly wash and dry your hands. Remove any old nail polish using an acetone-based remover. Trim your natural nails. Use a wooden stick to push back the cuticles and remove any thin film (pterygium) beneath them. Lightly buff the surface of your nails with a soft buffer until they are matte, then degrease them. Select the appropriate size of the false nails for each finger and remove the corresponding adhesive strips from the plastic backing. Arrange them in the correct order. Press the adhesive strip onto your natural nail and hold for 10 seconds. Carefully remove the protective film, leaving only the adhesive on your nail. Place the chosen artificial nail onto the nail bed, slowly lowering it forward, and press firmly.
Avoid prolonged contact with water, such as during dishwashing or showering.
To remove, soak your nails in warm, soapy water and gently peel off the false nails.
