- Enriching cosmetic products: Add 2-5 drops of citronella oil, or a blend of citronella with other oils, to 10-15 grams (ml) of a base such as vegetable oil, cream, toner, shampoo, conditioner, mask, etc.
- Massage: Mix 3-5 drops of citronella oil, or a blend of citronella with other oils, with 1 tablespoon of any vegetable oil (such as jojoba, almond, peach kernel, or grape seed oil) or your chosen cream.
- Baths: Add 3-5 drops of citronella oil, or a blend of citronella with other oils, to a filled bathtub (37-38°C), after first mixing with 1 tablespoon of an emulsifier (such as milk, honey, sea salt, or table salt). Soak for 10-20 minutes.
- Sauna and steam room: To scent the air in a sauna or steam room, dilute 3-5 drops of oil in 500 ml of water and pour over the hot stones.
- Air freshening: Add 3-5 drops of citronella oil, or a blend of citronella with other oils, to an aroma lamp filled with water and light the candle. The aroma will fill the room. If you don't have an aroma lamp, you can apply the oil to a tissue or add it to a cup of hot water and place it on a radiator. You can also add the essential oil to a humidifier. The procedure should last for 15-30 minutes.
